The dead player has nothing to do with rez
Rez did not take them out of the fight, rez is bringing them back to the fight sooner than they would return otherwise
A Mercy who chooses to rez in midfight is deciding that it is more valuable to restore a lot teammate that that time than it is to use her other abilities. Nothing is lost here, rather a choice is being made between multiple available actions - something every character faces

You don’t see the irony in accusing Blizz of catering to DPS when this is a post basically asking them to cater to you and the rest of the Mercy mains?
You guys are not even entertaining anymore. It’s common knowledge to everyone that you peeps share a Discord server. Everyone knows that, hence why the forum raids by some “Mercy mains” were an epic failure.
Coming on alternate account is so obvious at this point. Mercy didn’t get reworked just because she wasn’t fun to play against. This point has been refuted thousands of times at this point.
The horse has been beaten to death on a subatomic level I think. It’s been 2 years. Give it up and stop with the spam. Mass Rez isn’t coming back and Mercy is viable based on virtually every possible data available to you.
I’m not saying they are catering to DPS players, pro OWL players? Yes. DPS players? No.
Mercy is successfully mained at all tiers of play, and is even picked in meaningful pro matches
They’ve catered to pleb support mains way more than they’ve ever catered to Owl players.
A 6 month meta where Mercy was picked 100% of the time and the release of two support heroes who could easily 1v1 any DPS hero. What have “pro OWL” players gotten?

mercy’s stronger than she was before the rework and doesn’t have banking on poor game sense and team play as her trump card
she’s more universally consistent and stronger overall with significantly better mobility, utility, and most important team fight potential outside of an ult fight
the only reason she was 'bad" last meta is due to the fact that the meta was completely against her. tanks thrived and dpses, the heroes she’s absolutely stellar at enabling, weren’t a thing
Okay srry I said that because I got salty she blamed gold ranks for mercy nerfs. I take it back.

Mercy lost her mass rez, but in return she gained so much more. No matter what some fellow Mercy mains might say.
Mercy actually became slightly more skillful and had her kit widened and introduced bunny hops and super jumps, and while there are still tweaks they can make to make her feel better, a revert is not the answer.
Play with the current rez all they want. They can make it feel better for both sides.
They can always start with raising the healing to 55hps, make adjustments to how her current kit works, but mass rez shouldn’t come back. Mass rez is not the same as immortality field/trans/beat drop etc, and we need to move on from the idea of her getting it back and work towards making her current kit feel smooth to play.
Because she isn’t a throw pick right now. She’s actually doing well, especially when a meta shifts to more DPS oriented metas.

I know it really sucks having to live through a rework that you didn’t like, but it has been two years. It really is time to let it go.
I loved mas rez, and I don’t particularly like rez currently, but Mercy is still fun, she’s still the way she was, with bonus perks with her movement buffs.
I used to argue hard about bringing back mass rez, but it’s not coming back and I’ve learned how to enjoy Mercy again. Wish her hps would go to at least 55 though.

While I don’t want a revert, I agree that it would be good to make mercy a little bit more on par with moira and ana in terms of healing per second. Luckily geoff said we might get a healing buff or new healing ability so I’m excited for that (if it happens lol)

The Mercy forum raid was a bust, and was sad.
I am not asking for Mercy mass rez back, god please don’t give us mass rez back i’d quit. It’s boring.
I never blamed DPS mains, or Gold players for the Mercy reword. ‘‘Golden Boys’’ was referring to the pro scene, OWL to be exact.
When the Mercy rework came out, they even said ‘‘Mercy was not fun to play against’’ that is an exact quote.
When i say you are essentially taking two people out of the fight for 2 seconds as Mercy is completely valid.
Mercy has a 2 second rez time, if a player is dead, you go to rez them, two players are out of the fight.
Mercy is not strong enough to solo heal.
Mercy gets hate from the whole community, and if you pick Mercy players will not stop harassing you until you play Ana.

Hence why 90% of the people that want Mass Rez back are usually people that are the bottom (Bronze, Silver, Gold). These people never managed to adjust to her skill floor and skill ceiling being raised because they relied on pressing Q for instant reward with zero counter-ability.
Mercy actually takes some skill to play now and you can tell the good Mercies from the bad ones. And usually the bad ones want Mass Rez.
This ain’t rank shaming before anyone cries about some supposed oppression. I’ve got nothing against low elo players - but balance is balance, and it needs to be oriented at the top. For obvious reasons.
Again, I don’t want Mass rez back. That would make me quit, it was boring as heck. I was just here for opinions, i’m not a Mercy Main, I actually main Ana lol. But I do love mercy!.
