Straight in the point i hate the current mercy beams animation can you revert the beams to its previous state? the healing beam look is awful!

Specifically the damage boost beam looked horrible after the changes a while ago. And I’m pretty sure it was only changed for better visibility when spectating which is honestly quite a stupid reason to make it look so much worse. At least the healing beam still looks fine, at least in my opinion.

I hate the look of the beams too.
they made something so pretty and ruined it for OWL which is sooo dumb.
if players cant tell the colour apart then they should learn the animation of the staff.
spinning slowly to the left is healing.
spinning fast, to the right is damage boost.
done.

Mercy’s beams were changed for better spectator visibility during OWL.
Apparently it was an issue that people couldn’t tell whether Mercy was healing or DBing watching OWL because of team colors and color scheme changes.
I personally think the DB beam looks a little cooler, while the older one looked more tranquil. The old heal beam looked so much better and prettier.

There is a giant plus symbol for healing and lightning bolt for DB on the staff and hud next to the target’s health bar too. Lmao
If you can’t see the difference between a glow with dust flowing off the beam with a + symbol and + on the target on your hud versus a squiggly beam, a lightning bolt symbol, and the arrow up symbol next to the health bar on the hud, that might be a you problem, not a visibility problem.

Unpopular opinion, I like the new ones more… I like how hectic the damage beam looks, and the ribbon-like healing beam looks really gentle.
