I don’t know if it was posted before. I like Overloads and Casinos style
Pretty sure I’ve seen these images before but they’re nice designs, so I won’t say no to seeing them again .
oh they look cool…
shame we will never see them
I think that Casino will make it to the game because the Monte Carlo map heavily hints to that. Its like the map is built around his lore.
I think we will get Overlord as a Support before anything else as it would be most novel.
If ActiBlizzard had played its cards right, and treated OW well, MEKA Squadaron would have been an ideal spin-off from the lore as a game in it’s own right.
Or a Pacific Rim - Evangelion alike 30 min short film. Id like that.
I mean they most likely will slowly be distributed throughout OW2 life span. Their Mechs most likely need a redesign to fit in the game, especailly now that their is only one tank slot. Demon might be made into a bulky DPS, or simply have some sort of rivery with d.va to act as an opposing tank.
They could easily maintain her as a Tank, but DVA/Dmon pairs would be an obnoxiousness we’d have to live with.
I mean we can still definitely get a mecha squad themed section in PVE, like they can just make an entire expansion for just that. Be it that it might take a while if your expecting all 5 of them to be playable.
Not in 5v5, unless they rework one of them to be dps/support. you won’t be able to have both on the same team.
Just talking OW 1 obviously
Seung-Hwa is the male version of me I love him omg
Um Ow1 will not be receiving new heroes, you know that right? Just to make sure we are on the right page.
LOL yes I am up on updates more than 95% of the people here. Been playing since before Moira came out… spend about 2 hours a day playing on average.
Fair enough, their is a good chance a 6v6 mode might exist. be it that the heroes will be designed around 5v5 from here on out.
LOL they won’t go to 6 v 6 at first, but I have reason to believe they might go back to it over time. The problem is DPS queue times, unless the game has so many players that stick after going F2P, I can’t see it. Then there is the whole balancing problem (Geoff Goodman being the chief problem)…
DPS ques will be faster after 5v5 do to the tank bottleneck. Which is the prime reason that DPS ques are so long in the first place, as in their simply isn’t enough tank players to fill in enough games.
cutting the needed amount of tank players in half, litterially doubles the amount of games DPS players can que into.
Right - my point is that going back to a 6 v 6 would increase DPS queue times. Enough players and its minimal, but once the initial freshness of OW 2 is over, unless the game goes F2P, it’s not even a consideration to go 6 v 6 just for that reason alone. I doubt 6 v 6 will ever return, unless it’s an arcade mode.
Oh sorrymy bad the way it was worded kind of implies otherwise.
Be it that once 5v5 is here it’s here to stay. Because the core of the gameplay experience and balancing being completely reworked, the basics of how tanks and supports operate are changing to work in this new gameplay environment.
On top of many of the individaul gameplay changes to make tanks and supports more offensive in nature.
Once it’s done they would most likely need another 2+ year period to adjust the game back into a playable 6v6 state. And Immediately be faced with many of the same issues, such as tanks ability stacking with each other creating meta’s centered around what those two sets of abilities combine lock out. The tank ques do to players not liking the 6v6 tank experience. On top of a whole host of heroes that have received from the ground up reworks and new heroes being designed for a completely different experience.
Like the Longer 5v5 exist the harder it will be for the game to return to how it is now.
But look at the bottom it says this:
