Mei will also likely get changes!

In season 4! And i’m honestly very annoyed! Why would they look at making her freeze slow you even more??

Right now, Mei slows down by 40%, so maybe they want to go from 0% to 60% in 2 seconds, for example. Or even 80% slow. If the time to reach that value is high enough, she almost will never keep a hero at 80% because she may need to Cryo or escape, or the enemy could be dead.

I think it will be an interesting change, tbh.

Because it has ruined the game for alot of Mei mains removing her freeze. Giving her some freeze or slow back might make me fall in love with OW again.

Please don’t nerf her damage as compensation

what about genji? my boy needs some compensation

Wait but isn’t this a nerf? Because instead of the full slow working immediately it would happen over time. That’s an indirect buff to ball right?

Idk why they won’t just bring her freeze back. I know they wanted to remove hard CC on squishies (Hi Ana!) but it was just such an interesting and iconic part of her kit

Rather than fiddle around with her primary experimenting they should just give the freeze back. I loved old Mei, she just feels hollow now without it.

I’m excited about Mei getting some of her old feel back, not excited about the incoming constant relentless crying and whining that will come with it.

Because without the freeze stun she is woefully weak to just being killed while spraying someone. Her survivability was not designed to allow her constant sustained damage dealing and its basically a glorified self stun with some healing attacked to it.

The best damage mitigation is stopping your enemy from attacking at all.

And this has been given zero compensation. The freeze itself was both an offensive AND defensive tool and only her offenses were compensated. They should approach it from that angle first before adding more slow that doesnt solve much.

Oh this could be good and I am always harping on on how Mei should be getting some love.

Man I hope it doesn’t take that long, the primary doing an immediate flat 50% is a huge crowd control tool. Especially for sigma/d.va and the likes.

waiting two seconds for a right click opportunity is too slow.

I feel like doubling down on slow in her spray is just going to make her obnoxious against a couple of weak heroes but not do anything to make her actually better because most meta heroes just straight up ignore slows with fixed mobility abilities.

Maybe 80% slow in 2 seconds, so it would be 40% in 1 seconds instead of instant. You are not going to kill anyone in 2 seconds with primary fire unless they are not full health.

What I am saying is that they can increase the slow effect by making it ramp up instad of instant.

As someone who loves Mei’s current state, I’ll remain cautiously optimistic for now until we get more concrete details. I’m hoping they don’t ruin her by nerfing her damage to compensate.

Mei is currently in a good spot.
Why are they messing with heroes who are fine?

Just rework her into a tank already.

She has great proximity control with a CC focused attack, is very difficult to kill, has a physical ability that can block high amounts of damage, ults, sight lines, snipers, divide enemies, block off hallways, chokes, her ultimate is literally a “get out of this area quickly or be frozen in place and probably die”

Literally everything she does is what a tank does.

Work her into a tank, bring back her freeze even.

I am with you… I really like the current version of her and LOVE killing people with a 100 DPS slow beam… if they bring back the freeze she will get nerfed in other ways, because her play style will get toxic AF again.

She could work as a tank, but she does not look like a tank.

She’s a small character.
