Mei passes Ashe and echo in gm pickrate

Oh wait, she’s still a bad hero. Funny how no topics are on this. Doom takes center stage. Both are bad heroes seeing the light of day because of rush being meta. Their pickrates don’t mean anything about the individual power level, they only show strong synergy.

Pick rates have always been indicative of synergy and not individual hero strength but that won’t stop people from using pick rates as their sole criteria for what needs to be “balanced”.

what really lol have to check this out, it is kind of funny

Unless the pickrate is massive compared to other heroes. Examples were sigma, ball, and giga hog. Then it indicates individual power being too high.

Yep Mei to me still needs a buff since she usually keeps bastion company most of the time.

Exactly. I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of the forums when it comes to characters they don’t like.

Nerf doomfist buff Mei when both have about the same pr

How can a hero be bad & good at the same time?

If they were so bad, they’d be replaced by something else instead

Synergy. Good question. Doom is terrible on his own but zarya and rein and lucio compliment his brawling aspect. Mei wall synergizes well with brawl also

They both are bad as individuals

i mean any hero can be good in a gm’s hand maybe there will be 1 or 2 or more mei’s on the top 500 this season

They are both good that’s it. If a hero is really trash he has a bad pickrate in every meta like reaper, bastion, sombra or sym.

Mei and Doom gets to the middle ground and got past 1% pickrate

Forums: Nerf them to the ground so OP and oppressive!

Rein and McCree having 7 to 10% pickrate

Forums: “they take skill”

In this meta yes. They both compliment it. Before this meta, they both had sub 1% pickrates.

Those other ones are the worst of the worst (though sym does fill a niche in some maps, she could use help)

And that is how it should be. Heroes that drop in and out of metas. However there is no meta bastion is good in.

Considering this is a team game (unless you’re playing some kind of altered game mode) every meta is based on synergy, and that’s how it should be & is the only thing that makes sense.

Perhaps some heroes are not as bad as people make them out to be. Perhaps they’re just playing in a meta that doesn’t favor them, and so they feel weaker than they really are, such as Doom & Mei. Without changes, heroes rise and fall out of favor, this will likely be the case until OW2 comes out, adds multiple heroes & a new game mode, and reworks balance to the point where everyone has to relearn everything

Ok so buff him in non-oppressive aspects of his kit.

Do you think it’s healthy for heroes to be viable in a singular meta and garbage the rest of the time? That doesn’t sound healthy to me.

You must have meant “nerfed”

Doom was bad in the second double shield meta while being meta in the first. Only thing that changed was a bunch of nerfs. He went from being average and occasionally meta to meta once in a blue moon and trash the rest of the time.

There is difference of dropping in and out of meta where some heroes go back to being B tier picks when it is not their meta versus Mei almost hitting the bottom when it is not her favored meta. Now mei is not f tier more like d tier most of the time until recently.

If you check the stats outside of GM Mei still is among the worse dps for this month.
