Speaking from experience and observation here.
Mei’s ult has an absolutely enormous range and can devastate an entire team with almost as much effectiveness as one of Zarya’s ults. She can gain around 10% or so ult charge just from directly making contact on an enemy and starting to freeze them.
I don’t know if anyone else sees a problem here, I just think Mei’s ult charge is a little on the generous side.
This would be a problem if Mei was a strong hero. Which she isn’t.
Considering how easy it is to counter, I think Mei’s ult is fine as it is.
Mei’s ult charge should be fast to balance out how terrible of an ultimate it really is.
Out of the 27 heroes, I count 7 that have no form of escape on a regular ability from blizzard. Half the time you can just WALK out of it anyway.
Almost every movement ability escapes it though. I’m not exactly sure who it’s devastating. It’s used for zoning at best unless you’re doing a bunker comp.
Considering how few of my teammates actually make use of it, it’s fine as it is
