Todei’s topic: Mugging
So in Rise and Shine we see 6 mugs.
The Murloc, The Happy Squid, the Kofi Aromo, The Overwatch Logo, The Two Dogs, and a black one that we never clearly see the design on.
At the end she places these mugs in front of the Cryopods containing her dead teammates, presumably matching each mug to it’s owner.
This can even be seen in game, which is particularly useful for matching mugs to names.
So it turns out the dog mug belonged to MacReady. The team’s engineer.
Who is this person, and why did Mei choose their mug to turn into a Coffee pot gun? Did she just like the design? or were they close?
Could MacReady be the mysterious British accented person from the beginning of the short? his pod says he’s American, but There aren’t any British team members and someone has to be the British-sounding guy, and it’s probably not one of the females or the black guy.
Admittedly I have no basis for MacReady being a guy, maybe it’s that Hooded woman who is standing right next to Mei in the family photo. It sure would be nice if someone official could Confirm who is who in the picture…
What do you guy? Does anyone have a conclusion they can draw from all these disparate parts?
