So You’ve just woken up from being in cryostasis for 8 years, all your friends are dead, and communications are down. The only way to get a signal is to climb up a rickety radio tower. What do you do?
Invent an Ice gun, apparently.
Why would that be your go-to solution? I would think A grappling hook with some rope, maybe send my little flying robot friend up to do it for me, but no. Ice gun.

Meiby because the tower would fall if she tried to grapple up there 
He doesn’t really have arms though 
She couldve invented some arms 
technically she used what she had along with her knowledge to make the gun
And the main reason is to seal up the broken part on the radio tower (Rise and Shine 7:20), later an explosion happened and she realized she can build a huge ice wall with in a blink of an eye
