I think it’s time we have a mega thread for poor match quality
Since you are not allowed to post any information that could identify players, I can’t share replay codes or even the screenshots.

How I generate these reports with ease:
At the scored board I press “print” key for screenshots, then I open https://aistudio.google.com/prompts/new_chat and paste the screenshot with the prompt: Can you turn the scoreboard into a markdown format and obfuscate the player names with IlIlIlIlIl ?
Google AI is currently free

Then you can hover over the answer and you see a pen, a star and 3 dots in the right top corner of the answer. Click the 3 dots and click copy markdown and you can paste it in the forum. You just need to check the if the data are correct

I look straight at the doomfist. Maybe the match was decent quality but the tank decided to play something they’ve never played before, or maybe they’ve never tanked before, and all the rest of the players on that team suffered.

If those are the stats for an entire match….

Then both teams are equally awful and I’m not really sure what the complaint is…prob should be matched together and was a stomp regardless

The enemy team was afk most of the time, not much to do.

So why even use it as and exmaple then

May as well have put up a match against AI….would have similar value

They failed the first fight and then there was a catfight.
I think it is still worth to post, I get one of these games once a week and a lot of bad matches every day

This wasn’t that. It was people nuking a potential match based on your description. No mm can account for that

I can tell you that almost half of my games have leaver. Which I can even properly show, since it would expose people and it would get banned,
But yeah you will see similar stats because of leavers in more “normal” games"

Leavers have always been an issue in ow2. Why they implemented the penalty for leaving games because it’s been such an issue since it went FTP. I wouldn’t exactly blame the ‘leaver’ issue on matchmaking. However I do agree matchmaking should be fixed, no doubt about that.

Leavers do ruin matches….why there’s penalties for it now….but that’s not something the game can account for…which is why it’s a bad example of a “bad matchup”

But penalties do not work and the immense amount of leaver screw with the matchmaking and MMR system
