Mcree Hinder grenade needs a change

Since they changed Mcree grenade from its previous OW2 version (do not want that back) it has become obvious that he is the most broken character in the game.

Damage aside as many heroes out damage him, If you slip up even once vs a mcree on any character, even the lowest skilled player can secure a kill or land the new “grenade” to let your team or a higher skilled player get the kill.

The following skills block it:

Rein and Sigma Shield
Javelin spin
Dva Defense Matrix

It disables the following skills:

Tank:
Rein Charge
Hamter Hook
Winton Jump
Dva Thrusters
Doom Punch
Doom Leap

DPS:
Coach Gun mobility lowered
Mcree Roll
Echo Flight
Pharrah Flight
Genji Dash
Hanzo Dash
I think wall climb for hanzo/genji/kiriko (need confirmation on that)
Sojourn slide and leap (technically one ability)
Sombra Teleport
Tracer Recall
Widow Grapple

Healers:
Mercy Flight
Illari Ult
Illari Boop jump
Kiriko teleport
Lifeweaver Dash
Lucio Wallgrind
Moira Fade

This leaves an extremely low Hero pool to fight him that are not effected by his grenade.

While all the other characters can still perform against him fine except for tanks imo. He has very little counters towards himself.

Sym requires mid/melee range to fight him or a luck shot on her right click
Mei requires mid/melee range to fight him or a luck shot on her right click
Bastion requires him to not be so far that the spread of bullets can actually land and clump, Grenade works vs him well if you can land it.
Torb Turret is another body he has to worry about him and torb left click can 2 shot him in headshots, or if in melee his shotgun can 2shot him.

Ana doing ranged damage is the best bet
Bap has very high burst and if all headshots can 2 burst him down
Brig is lucked out as she only counters it with her shield

Ontop of the lack of dps/healer counters towards his Grenade disable, the grenade also slows you for its duration.

Not only is this a massive L for any tank or extremely high mobility character. His ult can 1 shot the whole team (rarely but still happens) and he has a get of jail card with roll if not vs another mcree grenade.

Why is the grenade disabling and snaring and not just one or the other? Why is he so oddly over tuned that he completely disables things that should outplay him such as rein charge/full speed ball/doom punch.

The grenade is if not one of the most over powered things in the game, gameplay wise and lore wise.

Take Rein charge for example. If you have a speeding train coming towards you, throwing a grenade at it would do absolutely nothing but bounce the grenade off. This is what this skill should react with.

I would like to see the disable removed from tanks in general honestly as he is just such a strong counter… BUT why can we not punish him for not landing his small tracking skillshot. He misses HE should be disabled. I promise you every tank would LOVE that change.

In the past we have had flash bangs over shields, throwing grenades across the map and landing kill shots with extremely high damage. Yet he has never been punished in a patch, only changed to make it so he isnt so toxic.

Wrecking ball in Overwatch 1 was given a 6 second cooldown timer on his grapple with a max duration on it. Completely counters Hammond in every way

Rein shield was nerfed and buffed and nerfed multiple times with Size, Healthpool and recharge. Yet Mcree can still throw it over the shield and hit some one even better then before.

Sombra 6second nerf changes down to 1second hack and 15second damage buff duration, yet Mcree still has a 2second disable and snare.

Spamzo just got nerfed with his holding of arrows and wall climb, yet grenade can still track around corners with no line of sight.

Genji ammo size lowered and damage lowered, yet the grenade will still follow him after a dash if it doesnt land. Also has an extremely odd deflect box in melee, can deflect and the mcree can just throw it at the floor or to the sides or roof and it ignores the hitbox

Sojourn was nerfed with her railgun which effects her ult, yet Mcree can still pump out extremely high damage in headshots and disable anyone trying to run away or towards him. Aswell as his ult has remained untouched

All tanks have had health buffs or nerfs, yet mcree is getting the same treatment and has his health raised and lowered every other month.

Here is a list of abilities that would kill a normal dps with 200 health but not mcree.

Rein:
Two firestrikes (leaves him with about 15health
Point blank Hammer down (200 damage, he has 225)

Dva:
An entire micro missile salvo

Junkerqueen:
Gracie and a Carnage (leaves 5 health left)

Orisa:
Javelin and Spinning Javelin (20health left)

Sigma:
Two hyper spheres (leaves 5 health left)

Winton:
4 fully charges Tesla Cannons from ranged

Zarya: (for science)
Full clip of right clicks at 0 to 50 energy (leaves him with 5 health)
3 shots at 50-75 energy (leaves him with 15 health)
2 shots at 75-99 energy (leaves him with 30 health)

Ashe:
Headshot and coach gun (leaves him with 5 health)

Mcree:
Dynamite and headshot (leaves him with 3 health)

Genji:
Full 3 shot burst headshots and dash (7 health left)
2 blade strikes in Genjis Ult (leaves 5health left)

Junkrat:
Trap and Grenade (4 health remaining)
Trap and Mine (5 health remaining)

Sojourn:
Railgun max charge headshot (3health remaining)
Disruptor shot (5 health remaining)

76:
6 body shots and a body shot with Helix Rockets (8 health remaining)

Sym:
3seconds of direct Turret action until death

Widowmaker:
Headshot beyond 75yard limit (10 health remaining)

Ana:
3direct hits with rifle (15 health remaining)
2 direct hits with rifle + biotic Grenade (7 heath remaining)

Bap:
1 burst of body shots through Window Ult (35health remaining)

Brig:
6 melee swings (10 health remaining)
whipshot and 5 swings (5 health remaining)
Rally shield slam + 5 swings (10 health remaining)

Mercy:
6 Pistol headshots (10 health remaining)

Moira:
Biotic Orb full duration (25 health reamining)

Every other skill in the game either counters him or does not get close in damage. These are all the attacks and skills that put him within execute range. Remember Most dps have a standard 200 health with the exception of Tracer and Widow who have 150 and 175, Bastion with 300, Mei at 250 and Sym with 225 but 125 of that is shield. Mcree also has 225.

Mcree also 2shots all Heroes with 150-250 health and 3shots bastion. All head shots of course with no grenade.

So i am struggling to see how his health has been increased and how his magnetic grenade which disables all movement and slows and his high damage is still a thing.

If you dont know what to do with him outside of changing his grenade to damage himself when he misses, just change it to the stun grenade during ult and make it just stick with low damage outside of it. 1 character should not have so much power behind their 1 ability thats being buffed by their entire kit.

Has it? I am not sure even the Cassidy haters think this is obvious…

unsure if you are trying to do satire, but everything else in the games 100% kill chance except for hanzo headshots and mcree disable combo has been called into line.

You can play around junkrat traps, you can play around bastion ults, slams even, but the flashbang is something that has such a low cooldown and is up for every team fight with a promise of being used by even the most smoothest of brains.

its a 100% disable for all mobility players, it is a 100% promise your ball or rein or doom is taking damage
