Playing these days someone told me to change Cassidy, i continued playing, since i tought that Cassidy was the grenade support, now i realized that Mcree changed his name. Why he changed it?
Because people kept calling him McRee instead of McCree.

Mcree shared his name with a Blizzard employee who was caught in the middle of the sexual harassment scandal a while ago. Blizzard took the initiative to change the heroes name to remove the association with the employee.
He had to go into Witness Protection

they changed the name though i think he should of been deleted
Blizzard can’t seem to catch a break getting somehow caught up in sexual harassment scandals, so the best way to deal with them is to remove any mention of people connected to them.
As was the case with McCree, who was named after the developer; Jesse McCree.
Twitter happened. McCree got canceled.

They took the initiative to change everything which has employee names in it, and made a policy to never use them again.

To be fair, he effectively did get deleted. Closest thing you could hope for, at least.
