Mccree needs a buff, 2nd most picked dps with 46% winrate

I always thought it would be cool if combat roll reset on non-FTH kills.

how am i misusing stats

mccree has had a negative winrate for 2 years and now its even lower than normal, its clear that he is underpowered and needs buffs

if you don’t look at stats how exactly do you know that mccree is fine? from your own personal bias experience? you look at stats from thousands of players

he is even trash in grandmaster, that should tell you something

Give flashbang a much bigger hitbox so it’s easier to hit pesky Tracers, and stun reflecting genjis.

And also, hitmarker means the tracer is stunned.

In my My megapatch thread i proposed this for him

  • Increased roll travel distance
  • Roll now gives mccree (50% or 100% reduced damage for its duration(
  • Mccree can now roll in the air
  • Mccree can now roll during high noon

this all was to make roll a better defensive ability

  • Flashbang aoe increased from 3 to 4

to make it more consistent

No, no, and no. Look, I’m not a McCree main, but I got used to handling him after playing him in PvE on Archives. He definitely doesn’t need a buff.

His fan the hammer ability is garbage and holds him back from actually being a good hero. Remove his brain dead ability and buff the rest of his kit. Granted he will likely just turn into a pseudo-sniper but whatever.

give him immunity to flying tree trunks

McCree has been getting regular buffs for a year now.

It’s clear something’s wonky with him due to the winrate, I’ll concede that much, but truly bad heroes don’t achieve pickrates the likes of McCree. He’s getting picked because burst damage hitscan is a very powerful tool right now.

If there was to be a buff, if would have to have to reduce his pickrate in conjunction with a balanced winrate.

The regular buffs are garbage and they walk back any meaningful changes and nerf him. People play him because he is fun, not because he is strong. He is basically like Sombra and needs a coordinated team to tap his true potential which is why people seem confused. OWL professionals do fine, why not everyone else?

If you ask me, he basically needs to lose flash. That is the one thing keeping everyone from realizing he is more or less, definitively, the worst DPS.

You have missed the good ol days where McCree’s fth did 420 damage and he could roll to do it again

  • FTH damage output jacked up
  • Deadeye is nye impossible to dodge

And unlike Sombra he can two tap someone on his own before/after stunning them, or three tap them if they can’t line up headshots. He’s a killer, not a disruptor.

McCree is picked for raw killing potential.

Again, he wouldn’t have the pickrate he has if he was garbage tier. He’d be at the bottom with the rest of the heroes who can’t compete with the fast projectile/hitscan, burst damage, fast TTK heroes of which role he belongs to.

But is it powerful if the winrate is negative?

You are being little dishonest though. His fan was buffed from 45 to 55 and then nerfed to 50. So if the nerf of 5 damage was “minimally walking back” then the buff (currently also 5 damage) can’t be “jacked up”.

The range increase was mostly meaningless since you shouldn’t be shooting from that far anyway and if you are even with the buff you are doing tickle damage.

If deadeye was impossible to dodge it wouldn’t be third last ult in kills… The only worse dps ults are Tracer’s bomb and it’s usually used to get important single picks, and Doomfist’s meteor strike which i think was nerfed slightly too much, but its number is also brought down by it being often used as escape skill.
