McCree is easy for his value

So I know aimheads probably disagree but it’s not very hard to hit consistently as Cree, especially popping heads. Just point in the general direction and click.

He also has flash and FTH, making his kit well suited for close and mid range. Even at long range, his damage is enough to contest sometimes, though the fall off gets pretty bad. You can still roll double fan, which I used to kill many tanks last night alone.

Why do people not want anything changed about him? Even if it’s nerfing flash to make it a skill shot. I know a lot don’t want him nerfed cuz you can always go Cree if you start losing, but imagine if they could buff his ult slightly while tuning down what’s most annoying.

Just give FTH a real cool down.

Def agree, McCree is unfairly a jack of all trades with no weakness but the people who play/main him will defend him to the moon and back despite how obviously overtuned he is.

Literally all the devs need to do is either nerf fth + revert his health or if they wanna keep the brain-dead combo then reduce his primary damage making fth his primary killing method. He shouldn’t have access to so much easy damage.

If they nerfed 225 and flash radius he’d be completely fine. His fire power is what should be good about him. His ease of denying close range and not having to worry about positioning as much is what turned him into a busted hero.

this may suprise you, but as a former full time hitscan main (primarly mccree and some widow. tho yes for anyone whose read alot of my stuff, i did play genji a long time ago)

ive always found mccree to be the easier one to deal dmg of between mccree and widow. reason is that hipfire aim is your primary source, too have the same mastery on widow or ashe you have too almost one trick them. which some people do, but i could for instance play tracer for 5 seasons then pick up mccree and be able to pop off at full ‘power’ in a week.

thats why he only has 6 shots, while someone like ashe as 12.

i also hate that they buffed his fth from 240dmg~ to 300 over the years.

Well one of them is a precision sniper with a scope and the other spams in your general direction til you die.

most mccree’s dont literally spam, we can just aim well enough that we can go near full speed. but i click every single shot i take, i spam like mad on hanzo but rarely on mccree. but even so hes still fairly easy to use simply because he is a single shot burst hitscan.

tracking hitscans can suffer a little vs good movement, but single shot burst ones can flick or do placed shots and get full dmg out fairly easily.

him being so boring to play now adays is by in large why i stopped playing him and have been practicing the projectile dps’s.

I tend to spam as Cree because I can hit my shots while doing so.

alot of that is really going to depend on rank.

spamming on a hitscan, like holding the left click down. functions very much how you would with tracking. but something alot of lower elo players dont realize is

people who play tracking heroes dont simply hold LMB down and move the mouse, we usually practice trigger control so that we waste less ammo when a prediction is off.

that same concept is why most higher elo mccree’s manually click each shot. if you think manually clicking each shot and moving the mouse is spamming then idk what to tell ya. :stuck_out_tongue:
spamming generally is just shooting and hoping someone walks into it. such as spamming a choke as junkrat/hanzo.

Nice troll. Widow is easy as well I guess, just point at heads and click. No skill involved whatsoever.

Forum complainers keep abusing McCree themselves and then complain about how he’s broken.
Nice.

It’s a flashbang, not a rock. Be grateful it’s not like flashbangs in other games, where it has a huge area of effect and where it also causes you to go blind for 5 seconds.

I guess I’ll be seeing you in OWL soon.

I am utterly trash at aiming with hitscan and even I can get more value out of Cree than most of the other cast.

Your crit accuracy is 4% on McCree…

so he can fly up to highground, oneshot ppl, dodge dive, have the best ult in a game? You are delusional… Cree is very limited with his abilities. 20m faloff, no oneshot capabilities besides someone stupid do not respect him up close, bad for long range, cant have desired angle up from highground or it will take whole eternity to reach that angle cause no mobility, easy diveable, easy to snipe cree down, no answer to oneshot, cant counter tracer, takes all spam if played as intended, has huge and wide body hitbox. That is why I don’t play cree, I’d rather play s76, Ashe, hanzo, widow, echo, tracer for a good measure. When I play against cree, I percept him like a mouse jailed in box, do what I want to do with him any time.

Forum McCree is not the same as in game McCree.

While I’m not saying he is a jack of all trades. The things you listed would not fit in that category anyway, that would just be him being really good at everything. Very different things.

Cuz ppl were just reminded mccree is a threat I guess

And what if that is more consistent than his aim with other heroes? Hmm?

These kinda of arguments genuinely show ignorance, and a lack of understanding on how people work.

Yes, if something is broken, many people will use it. Those complaining including, if it’s the strongest you ate often obligated. THINK, it’s not hard.

Cree is not a sniper, my accuracy on him is way higher than Widow, and yes, he is generally an easy character. I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but in OW, aim is probably one of the least important skills.
