Shouldnt he do 75 so when he gets a headshot it kills a tracer since shes out of flashbang range. Plus he is supposed to be her counter.
That’s what flashbang is for.
In a situation like this, the Tracer player would be left with little to no counter-play except for “Just dodge 4Head”.
On the other hand, I think that the Mei/Ashe one shot potential is pretty balanced (one is quite fragile against Tracer and the other has a really hard to hit projectile), but if Mccree were able to do it it’d be way broken.

McCree has a much bigger hitbox and no mobility. How is he less fragile to Tracer exactly? The only thing he has is flashbang and if he misses/on cooldown/tracer dodges then he is a free kill.
No. There seems to be a huge misconception on the forums that McCree used to be a counter to Tracer. This is not true. In a 1v1 a skilled Tracer will literally run circles around an equally skilled McCree. The only thing McCree and his flashbang did was catch Tracers who were out of position. The fact that Tracer can engage from a few more meters back literally doesn’t change anything about this matchup.
as someone who used to play a lot of tracer and still played a lot of mccree before i quit the game for good
only bads use flash on tracer. you will get bombarded with everything else and the kitchen sink as soon as everyone on the enemy team hears “whoa there” then walk all over you lmao
you beat tracers as mccree by killing them before they can get close enough to kill you or not letting them dictate engagements on their own terms. if you want a hero who is expressly effective at dealing with tracer then just play soldier 76 or reaper
Mccree has the advantage both from long range, medium range and upclose(due to flashbang). You guys also want him to be able to one shot Tracer on top of that?

As a McCree main I think being able to force recall with any damage is nice. I win a decent amount tagging her. If McCree has no team support I think it’s reasonable that he’s losing the match up overall. Tracer has more outplay potential but is also typically on her own. Especially with dive so dead.
I really wanna know who started this misconception. As someone who played a LOT of McCree and very little Tracer for most of this game’s lifespan, that was never the case.

You don’t NEED to kill in one shot to counter, and while McCree isn’t the best Tracer counter (if at all really) how it works currently is good.
I didn’t say that, but assuming he’s a free kill after flash is used is incredibly impractical.
or recall. so cree has to hit two heads plus a body shot minimum to kill a tracer without flash
I understand the matchup very well. The fact that you guys are completely blind to Mccree’s fire rate buff and how it effects the matchup is just straight tiring. Any advantage that Tracer’s falloff buff conferred is completely obliterated by the fact that Mccree fires faster than he did in the past. He is better than her from long range, he is better than her from medium range and his close range matchup literally has not changed.
