Maximum Level Borders

Hello guys,
I always wondered if the diamond borders in Overwatch is the last and highest level in Overwatch. After people reaching this border does it still earn exp? Will people still be increasing their levels, or are the maximum level borders never been reached?

It just resets the number on the bottom.

All it does is reset the last “star” when you get to the max level. It’ll start over at diamond portrait 5-stars lvl 1, but your levels will still be counted on top of that. That’s why there were people with 5-star diamond portraits the day that the portrait was released.

It actually keeps track, of your actual level though it only resets the number and displays max border.
If they were to make new borders today you would get them if you were at that level.
