I personally think he’s too good of a character (design and lore-wise) to be left behind ‘just’ as a comic character.
What would his abilities be though?
I don’t actually want Maximilien to be a hero.
He doesn’t strike me as a man (omnic, whatever) who gets his hands dirty. He’s wealthy, his goals coincide with Talon, that’s it. He’s a mastermind, not an agent.
We don’t need to have every character as a hero

We had a doomfist player icon before he was released, so anything is possible.
We need an evil omnic thats for sure, we have 3 too pure and innocent ones, also i want to know his past and motivations since he is basically helping create a war between his kind and the humans. I doubt antonio will ever be a hero but i sure hope they put maxi in the game.
true, but as for Doomfist it was his gauntlet not his face icon, and the icon name itself is ‘Demolition’ not ‘Doomfist’.

Maximilien doesn’t strike me as a guy who plays on the field, seems more of a business behind-the-chair kind of worker
Also Antonio is dead, you can argue Genji, Ana, Reyes and S76 but the difference is that Genji was ‘left for dead’ and Ana, Reyes and 76 disappeared and thus were presumed dead
Antonio is said by McCree to be dead, and if they bring him back then they’ll need to explain why he wasn’t at the Masquerade, why this lead to Vialli and Maximilien taking over from him and why Reyes would join a Talon that resurrected a guy he felt that he rightly killed

Besides, we’ve had 3 new Talon players already, I think we should let some other characters be released, like Liao

yeah i also want to know more about Liao, lol. rumor has it, the two next animation short will be about D.Va and Liao, which will also reveal him as the new character. But its just some rumour i read in this forum months ago 
Maximillan could very easy be a Zenyatta skin.
Antonio could essentially become a cyborg like Genji, but probably more in the tank category.
he may be a hero but probaby not the next one.

I actually thought Max was going to be one of the new character’s coming out before the next mission event (uprising/retribution).
Kinda like how Moira was part of this one.
Its an icon that can easily be made a main icon.
Since the first time I saw him in the comics when Doomfist was announced I want to see Maximilien as a hero in the game
I hope maximallian is the next hero. They specifically mention him in some of the Retribution dialogue. And I love his red theme and possibly luck based kit (dicey) with him in the gambling casinos! Games like final fantasy or kigndom hearts usually have luck abilities or a stat that makes it easier to crit and I would be interested to see a luck based ability in game (like maybe bodyshots critting occasionally as a buff).
