Mauga's Numbers, Damage & Cooldowns

The Hard Deets

650 HP, no armor.

300 ammo for the chain guns, shared between them. You could use all 300 ammo on the left (burning) gun - takes about 19 seconds to use all 300 ammo with a single gun, about 8 with both. 2.5 seconds reload. They do a crap-ton of damage. Testing: about 50DPS each, 100DPS combined. Spread reduces damage output at any range beyond about 20m.

Lifesteal is active for 4.5 seconds, then has a 10 second cooldown.

Lifesteal appears to return about 60% of the damage done as health (deal 200 damage, recieve 120 HP).

The shield health generated from crits hangs around for a very long time, and returns about 40% of the crit damage done as overhealth (80 shields for 200 damage worth of crits).

Charge is cancellable by using the charge button again. Impact does about 20 damage and the slam does about 100. 6 seconds cooldown. Using the primary fire button immediately transitions into the slam.

It cannot be stopped with sleep. Or charge. Or Orisa spear or Doom punch or Queen pull or Hog hook. He cannot be booped.

…but Sombra’s hack will stop it.

Ultimate lasts 10 seconds and seems essentially unavoidable - no windup like an Earthshatter. Mauga himself cannot leave the circle once it’s activated, but the ult is cancellable. Enemies can enter the circle once activated (but obviously cannot leave.)

Update: The ult can be destroyed. Rumor is it’s 1500 HP.

It takes a Bastion 6 seconds in Sentry mode to destroy it.

A Baptiste can throw his lamp into an enemy Mauga ult.

A Sombra can instantly delete the ult with EMP, like with a Sym wall.

I can picture the future Mauga players getting trapped in their own ultimate and being unable to capture the point after they win the fight. Everyone types C9.

You can cancel the ult at any time.

can he receive heals while within the cage?

I can see him making a brig lucio comp workable

Untested >.< didn’t think of it, sorry.

Seems to be that way

He actually has 650. 500 is his non role queue hp.

I’ve been playing brig with him and it’s going pretty well!

Why the heck would he have 500 in the training room  Thank you!

For whatever reason training room defaults to non role queue tanks, which…makes no sense.

Training range probably defaults to open queue values because it is technically an open queue lobby. If you join as a party, you aren’t role locked.
