Do you think Mauga will be able to resist CC that moves his position like Pharah’s, Lucio’s and Doomfist’s but still be able to be stunned by CC like flashbang, shield bash or Mei’s freeze? Kind of like Heavy Assaults in Retribution.

Blizzard has made no announcements or released any information on a hero named muaga.
Mauga was supposed to release instead of Sigma but they then said he wasn’t ready yet. So they release Sigma. This is Mauga:
He will at first, but then Blizzard will nerf that feature until he fulfills the proper tank role of being a glorified punching bag.
I am seeing nothing official on mauga, just some wiki articles about him in the “lore”
So I guess mauga will be a healer, that will allow his team to never die by blocking all shots with his 80’s helmet mullet.
Until we get some official info, that is what mauga is – A healer with a bullet proof mullet.
I personally think maugua will be able to phase through walls, see the future, present and past and be able to kill his foes by smothering them as an infant. He will be a support.
Why not? My conjecture is as valid as anything else they’ve released. I.e. nothing at all.
At this point, mauga is right there with mama hong, junker queen, and maximillian.
Every time blizzard adds clues to a hero that the fanbase clings to, they release something completely unrelated.
Junker queen in a short, heres orisa.
Mama hong graffiti, heres moira.
Mauga in some “lore” dumps, heres sigma.
Maximillion in a comic, heres bap.
Mauga is the kind of hot villain dad I am looking for. To bad we won’t ever get him cause OW2 won’t come out for another 5 years.

Like Bastion then? 100% knockback resist, but normal stun resist. Except while being able to move around.
Could be neat, but there’s just as good a chance as him having any other random ability in the game. If he ever actually is a hero.

Nothing being official doesn’t mean Blizzard wasnt working on the character internally.
Its fine for people to speculate.

All tanks will be getting a CC resistance passive effect in Overwatch 2, so Mauga will as well if he does turn out to be a tank.
At this point, I am starting to suspect blizzard takes the speculation on this forum and reddit, and then does the opposite.
I do believe Mauga will become a playable hero eventually. As mentioned earlier, he was going to be what turned out to be Sigma but the kit didn’t fit Mauga’s character.
There hasn’t been a “Beefy DPS” for a long time (I’d say Roadhog was the last, nearly 6 years ago), and Mauga seems perfect for that archetype.
If nothing else, Mauga just looks too damn great not to be a playable hero.
Well then stop speculating or blizzard will make mauga a sniper.
