Here are some tips and tricks for the new beeg boy Mauga!
- Firing one gun at a time significantly reduces your spread, making it ideal for medium to long ranges
- Your primary fire and secondary fire do the same amount of damage when the target is not burning, so it is better to use your primary from range to burn your target first, then swap to your secondary
- Your secondary automatically does critical damage on burning targets, letting you use your passive to build overhealth on them
- Firing both guns is only viable at close-ranges ranges because of the additional spread, or moderate ranges against characters with larger hitboxes e.g. tanks/shields
- His charge has a tight cancel window right after he starts the slam but before he finishes the animation that gives you the most speed possible. Use this when leaving spawn or traversing large sections of the map for the best speed.
- Do not be afraid to charge to a better position if the enemy team is pressuring you. You get blown up really easily, so it’s better to run to cover if you’re in a bad spot or are anti-naded.
- It’s possible to hit enemies with both the knockup and the knockdown of his charge if you activate it as you’re right on top of them.
- He is incredibly squishy without his E’s damage reduction and healing. Play very close around cover when this is down, and pop it when someone gets in range for you to use both guns at the same time for the most value.
- Make sure your E cooldown is up before using your ultimate to avoid being bursted before you can make use of that infinite ammo
- Remember you can cancel your ult early to start building up charge for your next ult faster
- If Lifeweaver pulls you out of your ult or Sym teleports you out, the enemy players are still stuck inside and now can’t shoot you through the barrier. I believe you keep the infinite ammo as well?
