It seems like no matter how hard I shoot this guy he just takes zero damage. Even if I sit in front of him and try to defense matrix all of his shots, he just stays healing no matter what. How are you supposed to kill him?

honestly the whole hero just needs scrapped and redone at this point from how much of a balance disaster he is he’s either gonna be op or useless because of how hes designed just make him like legion from titanfall 2 and we would have more room for balance

I don’t play competitively but… they could have at least avoided doing a complete reversal of the damage fire, given the countless buffs that accompanied it. maybe go easy with 13 hits for the blaze activation and no berserk buff.

Mauga is unironically brig level’s of stupid. Not brig levels of broken, but just idiotic from a design standpoint. They handcrafted this hero that FORCES ana… So now the support hero who’s been meta for 3-4 years straight is even MORE required to kill mauga.
if your team doesn’t go ana, the mauga doesn’t die. If the enemy team goes kiriko to counter your ana, the mauga doesn’t die.
It’s the most mind numbingly STUPID hero design I’ve ever seen. he’s also just boring to play against even when he sucks. The hero is all around garbage. there is zero saving grace to this character.
Tanks can’t fight him at all, they get deleted. The only dps that can fight him are distance DPS. trying to play against mauga as a tank? Sucks to be you, you don’t get to play. there’s zero interaction between the tank roster and mauga. You can’t get near him or your tank HP will vanish. So mauga FORCES you to have to go for his healers or else he won’t die and you won’t get to play the game.
And the people tell me not to insult the devs. When they come out with consistent garbage like this, never fix it, and can’t balance the game either? Hell yea ima call out the dev team for being completely incompetent at their jobs. The hero is a broken pile of garbage, and a fundamentally flawed hero. That’s been most heroes they’ve added to ow2.

they literally made mauga like d.va. Big hitbox, big dmg up close, dive ability. But for some reason mauga gets a dot ability, moves quicker when shooting and has a sustain ability. And 10x times better ult.

Tell your DPS to kill the Kiriko or Ana keeping him up. I promise, he’ll fall down faster.
Soldier, Hanzo, and Widowmaker are some good counters btw.

Looking at the patch notes, they mega buffed him and reverted one of his nerfs.
They absolutely refuse to address the real issues and keep buffing characters to offset others.

Tbf, it’s more they made a hero hard countered by Ana, which they somehow missed, so they had to gigabuff him in order to make him viable, thus enforcing the need for Ana. Same crap happened with Hog recently.
