I have heard from multiple streamers that he’s very similar to Raum but as I’ve never played Raum I’ll have to take your word (and I guess the cumulative word of multiple people) that it’s true.
The entire game Paladins is an Overwatch ripoff lmao, this post has strong “Pokemon ripped off Digimon” vibes.

Mauga’s design is from early 2019. It’s way more likely that the Paladin’s character is a ripoff of Mauga. They used to ‘borrow’ things from Overwatch all the time.

That’s a lie, Paladins was announced in 2012 long before OW,(h ttps://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paladins) and the characters they supposedly copied were actually just recycled designs from a 2010 game created by the same developers, (h ttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Swsvv-eGw0) and many of the game mechanics were already known before OW was announced, (h ttps://www.engadget.com/2014-09-25-global-agenda-2s-closed-beta-expected-before-the-end-of-the-ye.html) such as game modes, skills and some of the classes that would be reused for the paladins, the developers have always done what to differentiate both games to the point that some characters that were already confirmed to appear in the game like Medic GA were removed from the game just because OW showed Mercy (h ttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtAUw42M9Ro)

Makoa is nowhere near Hog. Makoa is what all of those “Hog is just a fat DPS” people would design Hog to be. Disgusting.
For the record I’ve never played Paladins lol. But all I see is an animal-themed hero wielding a hook, and the other weapon looks pretty similar to Hog’s scrap gun too. Not to mention the name is literally Makoa.

just take the data that has visual support, but the history of game development is even older, the game on which paladins is based is called GA came out in 2010, but the game was announced since 2005, I don’t know exactly when They started developing it but I suppose they had already been working on it for several years before the announcement, and unlike Titan, the game did come out and was playable for about 3 years before they had to close it, while currently almost nothing is known about Titan, there was never a gameplay or anything like that

If we really want to look at Raum vs Magua. The heavy trooper which Magua is heavily based off of was released back in April-May 2018 during the retribution event. A full 1.5yrs ahead of Raum’s release in Paladins Nov 2019.
Magua’s entire design has largely been blueprinted for us since that time period 5 years ago where we literally saw the enemy NPC design with dual gatling guns and a charging at enemies mechanic with low down effect.
Even before that I don’t really think gatling design is that unique to OW or Paladins honestly. Several of the features of tanks are present in this character. A charge at them mechanic and stomp is already present in several characters.
The full auto gatling gunner is heaviily present in many games. Gatling guns causing fire isn’t entire new either such as the gatling gun causes fire. Now is a damage reduction ability on tanks either.
What feels very unique is his cage fight which seems reminiscent of himself
