Just had a game where matchmaking was putting 2500+sr player against 1600sr. Guess what… the higher sr won. Is it surprising??? Platinum vs silver? Is there any more way that blizzard can ruin this already flawed game???
Are all the good programmers left blizzard and only the mentally handicapped stayed?

What was the SR average of each team?

I can tell that our whole team was around 1600sr, while the enemy 2500+sr was playing healer role baptiste as dps of course, yet his support sr was lower so blizzard believes that even a 4000+sr dps playing low sr healer is a fair match vs low sr on every role. Since sr is seperated for each role the matchmaking is worse than ever… A 6 dps dumb pick was a more balanced game than this forced role crap matchmaking

I was curious what the average SR was. I’ve played in games with a top 500, a few masters players, diamond, and even plat, but the average SR was with-in 50 points. The enemy team could have a 2900 plat and a 1900 silver and still be around 2400 average. And your team could have a bunch of low SR plats (2525 for example), and one gold who is 2010 bringing your SR Average to 2400.
I wish it was the case, than it would be a mix of different skills in both teams but not.
Since forced roles you can have 20+ games in a row where 1 team steam roles the other as there’s 0 flex and insanely bad matchmaking.
Before you had bad games and nearly balanced games, but since role queue maybe 1 out of 50 games is somewhere balanced with intensity.
I don’t mind losing and not worried about the sr level as long as the games are intense and exciting, but average 1 out of 50 games to have intensity should ring a bell for blizzard.
Looks like they only care about new skins and have no clue about how flawed this game became.
It’s getting to a point where a call of duty against a hacker in the lobby is still more intense than overwatch.
Sounds like a side effect of role queue to me. It’s an effective way to reduce queue times, if nothing else.
People were warned about the possible consequences of role queue. Now we sleep in the bed we’ve made.
Different SR tiers are common. I think this is more of an issue with grouping up with other players than it is with role queue. I’ve def play with some silver players with my plat account. I literally just queue up with them.

there was no premade group, what you are saying is a different story.
Not to mention the endless number of games where x4 low xp players are put vs very high xp, claiming sr has nothing to do with level, but if low level player is not a smurf account it means they have extremely low understanding of map, positioning and teamwork.
You can’t tell if there is a “pre-made group”. It no longer shows that.
probably a duo or triple stack or something… the teams average SR was close together so thats why you got this game. When i was 2600 and duoing with my brother who was 1600 we were getting 1700-2300 games. And Ive also seen diamonds and golds in my plat games. the teams average SR are similar so it is allowed. and under GM you can queue with people 1000 SR within each other
Different SR gaps is mainly due to the player population being much much lower. People may have their reasons as to why they left but the punchline is they’re gone and now the Matchmaker needs to fill “even” teams with whatever they can find. This wont be resolved until Overwatch 2 is released.

My dodgy tank is anywhere from 1500 to 2200.
When im at 1900+ i get matched against 2600’s
When i drop below 1900 that stops.
So i stay below 1900 where possible cause i know if i get on a streak & hit 2100 im juat going to be smashed for 10-15 games till im low again.
Worst i had was i hit 2200 last season & i got paired against a diamond.
They had the diamond tank
We had plat support.
We got smashed

I have just tried to look for a group to climb. There was 1 group only, so I have entered. All of us were silver. Enemy team had x3 gold sr players, then we had a leaver too. Fkin amaizng.
