Why is it still broken? There are no excuses of this matchmaking being so bad. Blizzard respond?

The last two days of playing have been the worst stretch of stomp games I’ve ever seen. If I wasn’t midway through the battle pass, I’d probably stop playing until next season.

Because they haven’t changed a thing.
There is, the money is flowing in masses, people still play the game. No need to fix it because it won’t give them more money.
They already did with their Newsletter thing a week ago, everything is fine from their point of view.
Nothing will change.

They replied on my tickets with one answer. And that answer had zero intention fixing the game. Instead, they gave me a warning for showing too many facts/tickets of players/gameplay negative involing almost each game I play.

No its actually insane how weird the match maker is right now every match I’ve played there is ONE dps who goes negative and which ever team they are on loses. I feel bad because that dps looks so out of place and its so obvious which team is going to win.

I would have agreed with you pre OW2, but man is the matchmaking bad every since ow2 landed. Doesn’t even feel like mmr is a thing anymore. I would wager money they just grab the first 10 bodies to queue up and start the match.

The matchmaker can be very wonky sometimes. But I think we may be seeing a batch of new players draw in by the last batch of marketing.
Keep running into new players in QP who are usually lost on maps, trickle constantly, and don’t have a handle on the character they’re playing.
They probably shouldn’t be mixing them in with more experienced quite yet, but that’s the matchmaker.

And you are probarely one of those players messing up for other players seeing this reaction. So thanks for your reaction, but i prefer talking to players experciencing the same problems.

I started the game in ow2 release (played maybe 5 hours on ow1 release) went from bronze > master 1 (which I know is around equivalent to diamond 1 in league so still bad) rn with substantial number of games in each tier.
I dont have a smurf, only play on one account.
Tickets are not meant for complaints like these. They are for account problems.
Too bad it is the only way to show Blizzard what is going with their game. They are not actively solving the problems players are posting on this forum. They have zero intention fixing these problems. In my opinion, where people don’t do their jobs right, they should be replaced by people intented to do their job well.

Yes they did. They wrote the following :
We’ve heard from many of our core players that the game is in the best state it’s ever been, and many have told us that it feels like we’re really listening to their feedback and that this season is a culmination of that. It’s so awesome to hear.
At this point, I think it’s hopeless to even expect a matchmaking improvement in the future if that’s the feedback they retained and think is what the majority of us think of said matchmaking.
I guess we’re gonna have to put up with it and not think too much of the times when it was in a much better state.

How many times have they said they have tweaked it to be better? Like 4 or 5?
There are gold players in my master games. I’m not only basing their skill on an icon in their profile but by the way they play. The other team will just notice them as a weakness and farm them. It’s annoying because obviously you can’t blame the gold player.
They’ve had so much time to fix this, I don’t get it, the player base isn’t small, no matter what people want to believe.

Well, they destroyed the player base, ignoring the players they had and trying to get new ones that don’t care about this game at all.
There are not enough players to make a full master lobby or a diamond lobby (at this point, I don’t think they can even make a plat lobby). So they soften the matchmaker, and you get these matches that stink.
Let’s face it: this game is not going to recover. even if they release a new hero every month.
You can play it as it is or just leave it behind.

ive never seen it this bad before…The either stomp enemy team or you get stomped has somehow gotten worse.i stop playing after 2 games every time cause its just terrible right now. Theres far better games to spend your time on. Altho maybe buying a battle pass for once will give me a better experience
