So I play OW since launch of OW1 with breaks here and there.
Since Season 16 my matchmaking seems totally cursed, I have 3 visible wins in my history, 3 of f*** 20 games with by now 10 looses in a row.
I am not the best player but I reach dia supp easily if i play ranked and plat dps.
I really want to play the game but starting it up, knowing that I will loose with a near 90% probability right now does not make fun.
Sounds like your run was pretty brutal.
Match making is fine though. But if you’re playing in the gold, plat, diamond hole. You’re playing with the most inconsistent and random players in the game. Sometimes, their decisions will mean the game goes to plop.
Yeah, it feels like pressing play is pressing a “lose” button, I know we have already lost befere the game even begins.
Every single game, the enemy team is much higher ranks and have drives, and my team has not.
Joining a game now, we have new players and no drives, enemy team 4 drives.
Just like all other games, we have already lost.
11 in a row, maybe I should see what the record is right now, but after 5 looses and completing the dailys I am done for today… Lets see how many looses will add up tomorrow
On purpose to stall your progress for the battlepass in order to maintain player counts among other things. They want to you instantly buy and max out the pass instead. It’s as blatantly obvious as it gets.
How to fight back against the rigging.
If you get a predetermined outcome loss game avoid all the players on your team that caused the loss to happen.
If you get a pity win game avoid all the loser players to prevent Blizzard from forcing them onto your side next game because they will do anything in order to give you a loss next time.
Been playing since closed beta OW1, multiple accounts, i agree this seasons matchmaking in comparison to all the prior terrible matchmaking seasons, is THE worst.
I dunno what they are doing but even hitreg is off for certain matches. There’s no strats or skill. Just press W outta spawn and whoever the algo decides in the background to win will win.
What disgusts me the most is you can’t even leave the f rounds anymore without getting nailed with a penalty. No just hard W outta spawn and take it until you hear “DEFEAT!”

Matchmaking has been trash since the start of OW2. Stomp or be stomped. Comp or quickplay. Some seasons worse than others.
It’s really no f’ing surprise why people get toxic or leave for other games.
Matchmaking went worse since OW2 started. They edited some stuff so the Match Making for QP/Arcade seems not to take into account (or at least to a far much less degree) how the stats of each team are, so you get a match quicker.
This results in that totally new accounts getting put into matches from plat and higher. Same for just “bad”/“casual” players.
I also get so many matches where my team has 2-4 endorse 1-2 chars (aka new accounts) and of course we get obliterated because the enemy team is full on endorse 4+
Of course, sometimes you are luck and the new account is a smurf that plays like a god with an account that has 3 matches on their list but that is not happening very often.
I don’t mind if one singular new player gets into a team of players that play for years unless they are tank, then I do mind. Same if its more than one.
I really do would like an option where I can alter the match making where I can say that I want to be matched with players enorse 3+ only. Of course, this should only be a valid option if you are 4+ yourself, so new players or trolls can’t say they only want to play with people above their degree.
I’d even give the game a second option that reads to only play with players of similar overall stats (Minimum of 200 matches to enable this option).
YES this would make you wait for a match maybe 30 seconds but honestly? I would not care. I’d rather wait even a full minute and have a fun match, then insta matches that are just unfair.
