The more we worry about queue times being lower the worse quality matchmaking is. So here is the question you have to ask with overwatch: Do you want better matchmaking or longer queue times

You can’t have better matchmaking when you have at least 5x more DPSes than tanks or heals whatever you do.

I would 100% take longer queue times for better matchmaking. The current matchmaking is absolute garbage making the game pretty unfun

Sadly supports are better DPS than the dps
Blizzard genuinely couldnt make a balanced lobby if their entire company was at stake. I would rather have fast queues than depend on their incompetent leaders

If for even on second I thought they could pull off balanced lobbies I would wait north of 5 mins. They have proven time and time again that they are incapable or incompetent though. So without it being a hypothetical where blizzard is capable of doing something they genuinely cannot seem to do, I would rather have fast queues.
I mean all they would have to do theoretically is tighten matchmaking to the rank (bronze 5- bronze 1, silver 5- silver, etc.) but queue times would spike a lot
Blizzard only cares about money, fast queues + more play time. Even if its at the expense of their playerbase getting good quality games. All they care about is keeping people playing nonstop.
Pro tip, spend 10 dollars on a skin and watch how much better your matches get. I can’t prove it, but theyres stuff in the code for the matchmaker that analyzes moneys spent in game. Just food for thought.
I’ve spent $60 on skins and still lost the next 4 games. In terms of money, yes that’s a business for you. As I have said in other posts just do open queue. Would be a lot better
Damn, unlucky. I won’t give them another penny regardless of if my matches get better. They are manipulative and greedy and wont feel bad about abandoning their playerbase as proved by 3 years of dead updates on overwatch 1 and an abandoned PVE mode. I cant support a company that does stuff like that, but the game is pretty fun sometimes. Sadly I think I genuinely have an addiction to it because I know for a fact that this game is probably the worst thing in my life for my own mental health and it genuinely makes my life worse because I play it but I can’t seem to stop.
I agree with you that the 3 year abandonment sucked. From what I’ve heard tho the PvE thing wasn’t the teams idea to scrap sadly it would have been amazing. It is hard to gain back trust and I’m sure they know that. I just hope the game gets better.
Yeah, I keep telling myself I like this game, then I queue, get mad, and go play Marvel Rivals. At least if I get upset about a match over there I can decompress in their super fun new PvE mode.
Understandable. I have other games I play to decompress like Pokemon or Skylanders so that helps me
There’s a lot of people on this forum who go against me when I’ve said the matchmaking quality has become dreadful for the past 2 seasons.
I’d rather wait 5 mins for a game and have balanced teammates than wait less than a minute for a game with horrible players on both sides.
Sadly I think a truly balanced game would take closer to 10-15 minutes but I agree with you
