matchmaking is utterly broken, it’s frustrating to me and ruins my comp experience losing those games. there’s no reason for me, a gm player, to ever logically get anyone below gm in my lobbies if I can’t group up with anyone below gm. if you feel that otherwise, that a plat player should be in lobbies with gm players, then you irrefutably fail to understand the competitive nature of matchmaking. I’ve had consecutive games where I thought our tank, dps, or support(s) were blatantly intentionally throwing the game for us to lose, so I obviously report them every time for hard inting / feeding / griefing the game for the team, but turns out they’re either silver, gold, plat or diamond in a gm lobby game that don’t have the game sense or understanding of the mechanics to be in a gm lobby game, which in a gm lobby makes it seem like they’re blatantly hard inting the entire match for everyone, it’s entirely obvious. I’ve had plat peaked players in my gm lobbies—that should not be happening whatsoever, there is a massive skill difference between a 4.0 gm player going up against a plat player, let alone a silver player going up against a 4.6+ gm skilled player as 4.0 to 4.6 contains an exponentially massive difference in skill between a 4000 sr player against a 4600+ sr player. why would there ever be a plat player in a gm lobby? imo, I’d rather wait 12min to get in a gm filled lobby than to have experience a 5min queue with one of my teammates seemingly “hard inting” the entire time causing us to lose thus ruining the experience for me and my other teammates, then cyclically repeats in almost every single game. it’s horrible and should not be happening, I did not have a experience like this in ow1 and should be reinstated for a more genuine competitive experience.
