Then why don’t they. They claim to have done A LOT of things and yet people, even today, are still coming to ask why we are still having one sided stomp matches. It’s excuses. And the main point they really made was “our matchmaker is working great in season 3, if the player’s are having bad matches, they’re just playing bad that day” they said those things multiple times, while chuckling and laughing, like they were trolling.
Calling them “small asides” is your way of making it seem like THOSE things you want to pick that they said don’t matter… everything they say matters. In fact, “small asides” matter more, because those are the little things they say off script, the things they are thinking that aren’t prewritten answers to the completely scripted prewritten questions. The small asides are like Freudian slips.
By saying it’s beneficial or fun to get stuck in matches like that is their way of COMPLETELY brushing off people’s complaints that matches are stomps and they are terrible to play, especially at the rate they keep happening. They didn’t say “yeah, it’s not fun to be spawn camped for 8 minutes because you are completely out of your level”… they said it’s “fun”…
that’s called gaslighting.
It’s hilarious that you’re using that lame justification… you don’t learn anything by being stomped. You don’t learn to climb Mt Everest by buying your brand new climbing equipment and the next day CLIMBING MT EVEREST… we aren’t talking about games where a silver 5 is playing a silver 4, we are talking about Bronze to gold players being matched up in games against plat, diamond, gm, and top 500 players, and it’s all the time. Even playing people 5-10 tiers above you is a predecided match in most cases. You don’t hand a college textbook to a little kid and say, here ya go, this is how you’re gonna learn to read!
That’s a really great question. Because today by their tone, by their attitude, by their words, and by their continuing action, they show that they are not listening to all of the bad experiences people are having, they claim that they’re getting all this POSITIVE feedback, and they are in an echo chamber telling themselves all the great changes they have made when the players know that isn’t true and people are leaving because of it.
Because they are either an employee or one of these players that will follow the devs into the grave of the game waving the yay devs flag the whole way. They will make excuses for them, never hold them accountable, and never see anything wrong with the product. And this are the kinds of players that help keep the game bad. They are the meme of the dog in a burning room saying “this is fine”.
It’s honestly pointless responding to them, which is why I’m done replying to this one.
The devs will be his super awesome heroes forever, no matter what they do (or don’t do).
They laughed at us today, on camera, and that’s perfectly fine with these guys.
