I see silvers and masters put together, I see terrible plays by high rank and brilliants ones by lower ranks, and I do not trust the matchmaker anymore. It is trash. Utter incompetently made garbage.

There is no “matchmaker” anymore, at least not for casual modes like QP or arcade. It’s just random at this point. 1 out of 10 matches feels somehow balanced, 9 out of 10 matches are just stomps.

It used to make a difference tho.
Whenever i picked up a new hero, i one trick them for two weeks. Which means the MMR had been placing me among players where my tank would be. Which also means the hero i picked up would be losing game… after game… after game… for a week straight as the MMR keeps going down.
You noticeably can tell the difference on the quality of the players go down during this time and by the time my noob hero stopped losing so much, i would be in games where my tank would be solo carrying in her sleep. Of course, i can’t actually play my tank because if i win, i would have to lose ten more times to get the MMR back down to the noob hero’s level.
Lately tho, it really has become much more chaotic. I would guess that because the MMR has gotten so loose that the bottom of the barrel tanks are being used to populate the higher MMR games, and ending up dragging everyone’s stats down and their MMR with it.
You are 100% right. I had one friend who was legit hard stuck gold players and couldn’t move up because the MMR would give him 20 SR for a win and 30 SR for a lost. Then he made a new account then he placed mid masters using the same tactics his his in gold.
Unless you are in diamond or higher the game wants stay where you are at.
The game legitimately doesn’t want people to move up without creating a new account.
