Took a break for a while yet again in hopes the matchmaker would be fixed. I was wondering if I am getting unlucky in the matchmaker or is it still screwy? My teammates have been something interesting. I am surprised that regrouping is still difficult, but running in 1v5 for an entire push map seems normal. Just curious about my luck is all or if it is still busted and I need to step away again until it is fixed.

IMO OW took over 30 seasons of constant seasonal patches and tweaking to get balance right.
OW2 dropped and they removed 1 tank and gigabuffed the remaining tank while dumping in 3 new heros and removing 2cp and adding push.
We need many more seasons now to rebalance the game + we need many more seasons for all the ânewâ players to learn the game for it to feel balanced like it was in OW1âŚ
With that said - the game is also F2P now so it will NEVER feel as good as it did in OW1. At least then the barrier to creating a new account was 5 dollars at least. Now there is no barrier to entry so anyone can smurf / do bronze to gm challanges, create 1 trick accounts / create an account for every rank so they can play with their friends etc. You can make troll accounts and who cares if you get banned - who cares if you leave the game early - who cares because you have NOTHING (not even the 5 bucks for a new account) invested so punishment doesnât mean anything.
So itâs literally impossible to âfixâ if thatâs what youâre holding your breath for. It literally CANâT go back to the way it wasâŚ

Iâm not looking for a fix really. I know when I took a break getting in ranked games with people being multiple ranks apart happened. I was just curious if that has been fixed. I t also shouldnât take several seasons, or games, for players to figure out yeeting in doesnât work out 99% of the time.

Iâm not gonna spread the knowledge around on the forums but there are plenty of ways out there to spoof a number / borrow a number / purchase dozens of numbers for very little cost. thereâs even websites dedicated to making emails for you as if it wasnât easy enough already.
I just remove the number from previous acc and use it for the new acc.
Still have access to all of them.

I donât experience many problems with MM. Iâve been on a positive win rate since season 2. And I donât mean winning means MM is good, but most people complaining about MM are losers and itâs a fact.
So am i, but that doesnt mean its working 100 percent.
Yeah, there is no game where it will be working 100% as intended. Itâs based on MMR, so there is will be room for some error. Still though, itâs proven most people complaining about it(few exceptions)are losers. And by losers I donât exactly mean bad players, but people who refuse to accept theyâre the ONE of the reasons on why such losses are happening and self improve because of huge ego.
Itâs broken by design.
Mode is still a total trash fest, players throwing left and right, toxic players rage typing to each other in the middle of comp games, leavers. Players who were put into a game they dont belong in, high ranking masters players being put into silver matches. Smurfs with lvl1 accounts wrecking games. And of course the cheaters using aim bots. One sided stomps after another.
Very rarely do you get an actual fair match. If you have 1 person under performing on your team (either intentional or just ranked into a match they shouldnt be in) its pretty much gg from the start.
Gets me every time hehe, just speak people every time you type you are ignoring the battlefield 
Considering how shady Activision-Blizzard are it wouldnât surprise me at all if it turns out that they are using matchmaking- and ranking-system to reward/condition spending in the OW-store. That would actually explain the mess of the game much more than just plain incompetence.
Idk⌠I just bought the Genji street runner skin and aint getting no luck. So I donât think itâs pay to win.
Lot of it is⌠People want to play the heroes they like⌠and the game punishes you for not playing the hero that can counter.
IF youâre a tier or two better than you can play against your counter - but thatâs not most of us.
Yeah i tested the p2w and it didnt strike me as conclusive.
I bought the BP once for that experiment but i will never give them more money considering the grief this system causes.
Kinda getting tired of these threads and Iâm in agreement. Yes the matchmaking is bad, yes the ranking system is bad, but itâs been the same since season 1. Continually making " matchmaker bad" or âis matchmaker still brokenâ threads isnât going to do much. They clearly arenât listening or arenât willing to change their MMR system. So remaking more threads is just going to incite even more âgame is bad I am sadâ posters or âgit gud nerdâ or âthere isnât anything wrong with the systemâ guys and bring nothing productive. If the game is that bad, stick to QP/Arcade, uninstall, or play sporadically. Worked wonders for me, Iâve played 3 games this week and Iâm much better for it. Ainât touched tank or support since I hit GM 3 either.

Calling players losers because the game is not right is funny. Somehow ur in luck. i p[lay for a long time almost every day and since this season i only get losses. The worst teams. I think when u play solo there is not a change anymore. The full teams are winning all the time.
