Not possible. The 3966 could only group up with a 3466. There’s no way it put those two in a low diamond/plat game.
Masters can only group up with people within 500 SR. I Think your facts may be slightly skewed.
Tho he can’t Q with them the game will still make a match with them together.
The game under no circumstances is going to put a 2800 rated player with a 3900 rated player.
The only time you’ll ever see differences that are large between individual players is if you’re playing at off peak hours and you’re mid masters plus. There you may see a top 500 in a 3800-3900 game. And that’s because there’s only 4% of the game population there.
Just find it VERY VERY hard to believe that OP had an almost GM in his high plat low diamond game.

Idk who you are but you just commented on my “Is this a flaw” post lol. Yeah it’s unlikely but it’s happened to be a few times.
OP at least make it believable. You know in the 0.01% a gm would get placed in high plat all of his teammates would have to be around 2600 to balance the game. There’s no way you, as a 2800 rated player got matched against a gm with a team of low diamonds high plats unless you were 6 stacking with 5 people around high diamond.
Then that is a massive one of a kind glitch in the system. In regards to OP yeah it’s not fair but honestly I highly doubt it happened.
How about this, then? I was in a match last night with a guy that hit masters in season 7 (the last season he placed). He was doing placements in silver/gold, grouped up with silvers. Technically, he wasn’t ranked, so he could group with anyone he wanted. How is that a fair match?

See as far as I remember they fixed that this season too. Pretty sure if you were previously ranked Diamond or above in a season they can’t que up (even placements) with people who weren’t also Diamond+
I know when I was a Diamond this season I could not que with my cousin who is mid plat.

Maybe they only did that fix for one season before, but if you haven’t placed in two+ seasons, it may not apply. I don’t know, but it did happen. I wish I was recording my session last night, but I often forget.
He made it to 3966 but he threw his last games on last season so his placements would be easy.
Yet once xQC got put into a bronze game while he was top 500…
Any proof? This isn’t possible and you have nothing to show and support it so nobody believes you sorry.
