Context :
I’ve done a ton of unranked to top 500 account (around 8 I would say)
one time, I tried with a friend to make a unranked to top 500 playing sombra (me) brig (him) only
and Master is a really hard ranked to get out, for exemple, with my friend we stuck may be 2 weeks playing in master, then went from 4000 to 4400 in 3 days.
the problem is this rank, from my experience , concentrates a ton of different players profiles.
The skills of players are SUPER different in this rank (exhilarating smurfs), which is non existing anywhere else in the game.
idk if something can be done, but atm I struggle with an account here for 3 weeks now, while 3 of my accounts are top 50 dps, including one I climbed back from 3.6k to 4350 in a week.
I’m not the only one in this case, Arrge, a Hanzo streamer is in the same situation for instance…
when ML7 did an unranked to gm, he had the same feeling with sticking a lot of time in master
the thing is I don’t care not climbing fast if people are good, but basically, it’s easier climbing [4000-4300] than [3700-4000] just because the skills of players is hyper spreaded
this has been said about every rank there is…

in other ranks, you don’t stick somewhere far your real rank, I legitly plays almost 1000sr under my rank, and I legitly ruined games 80% of the time because others can’t contest my dps,
However my team is sometimes so bad for a master game (specially never pressing W) that you struggle easely with a 50% winrate if you are unlucky

So what? I wouldn’t be complaining if I were in Master. I’m already having to climb back into Diamond after some botched placements…
keep saying that then, I’ve never seen someone with multiple account that much spreaded than top 500 players being sometimes stuck in master for a long period of time on an account
the ladder is broken because there are so many easy heroes that are too powerful. there are a lot of people in masters that belong in plat.
you say I should not complain, when I legitly play more than 99% of the playerbase probably
You’re thinking of Diamond League.
People in Bronze/Silver are bad and they know it. Golds are good but don’t care. Platinums are good. Diamonds are either platinums who got boosted and play like garbage, or Masters who got unlucky and don’t care or are on tilt.
Diamond is the worst experience.

So what? I have nearly 200 hours on Widowmaker and still can’t hit a still target at point blank. Time means nothing.

I was in Diamond until I queued with a guy who failed to climb to Masters, so has since thrown down to 2800 and took me down with him during my first three placements, and unfortunately I couldn’t make up for that massive hit during the other two, so I’m back in Plat and now two wins away from 3000…yAy… 
I’ve known some awful Diamonds, too. A Winston main, a D.Va main and a Genji main. The Winston must have gotten there by sheer luck one time because he’s super toxic and has been in Plat ever since. The D.Va main is in Silver because he got boosted (and, Htag, he has over 2000 hours on her so that really isn’t a testament to where one should be ranked…The guy is also infamous on Aussie servers for his D.Va time and general creepery). And when I say boosted I mean he paid for a D.Va main to take the reins and land him in Diamond. …And the Genji main is in Gold now because he got lucky and is also toxic.
So yeah…Diamond lol.
High plat would like to have a talk with you…
The most diverse skill sets are in this region, people who got boosted to diamond and are slowly falling, people with a lot of mechanical skill but no gamesense and vice versa.
Then again, you could say this about any rank.

mei is the worst offender. but its not just this meta, there are still boosted brigs and mercys too.
Master is the new platinum.

The only thing I don’t like about masters is I find them to be pretty comparable to people in plat. A lot of people in plat think they’re okay at their role and blame it on their team for not playing the meta or playing bad picks, and so badly wanna hit diamond. When at that rank the meta doesn’t matter. But they lack the gamesense to see when their own starts aren’t working or their own poor positioning.
Diamond used to be that rank in overwatch, but now I feel like diamond players are just chillin. Masters players are convinced they’re good and have the rank to back up their arrogance, so they’re also super quick to blame the meta and other hero picks. Which is weird, mechanical skill is a step above but their own gamesense isn’t always (I think because overwatch is kind of dead compared to before season 10) but they are convinced it is.
I just placed last season and climbed from gold to masters with brig and a lot of the masters players will blame things like overextending or playing outside of my inspire radius or behind walls and blame brig when there are a lot of dps Moiras/Baptistes ranking up bc the meta and ignoring their heals, and they don’t really notice their own bad plays if that makes sense. Mid masters I’d say that can change but yeah.
I literally really enjoy when matchmaking places with me grandmasters or T500 bc they’re a lot less likely to blame hero picks, meta, or another player on the team than individual performance unless it actually literally is the only reason something isn’t working. But I’m only masters so those games aren’t as common.
But yeah the only thing I don’t like about masters is the arrogance
I have rank from silver to plat and the worst rank is silver in my honest opinon because the plays because make are absolutely ridiculously. Rine heart dont know how to hold a sheild miora cant heal and mercy looks lost and gets pick of so easy at that rank. At least in mid gold to low plat people have a general understanding of the game and what the characters do and how to play them even tho they not great but good enough to work with
