Massive increase in autoaim controllers

I do not equate “auto-aim” with “aim assist”; I think it’s a bit disingenuous to what’s actually going on to equate them in general.

Auto-aim implies all or nearly all the work is being done for the player, which is in general more than normal for aim-assist implementations.

Regardless, I don’t understand the decision to not let PC players opt out of cross-play. It strikes me as odd unless they’re really starving for player population in PC quick-play compared to console, which seems unlikely.

Kind of semantics, but fair I see how people could interpret it that way. I believe it was recently stated in a dev blog that the majority of the population is quick play players, so I’m hoping that its not a player population issue and maybe just a feature implementation oversight. Here’s hoping this thread will catch the attention of a dev and this can be implemented.

Considering aim assist can be turned off or turned low, a video about it not working proves nothing besides its turned off.

Luckily it seems to be middle management that is getting the boot and not developers, so don’t think they will be losing productivity for the game itself.

you can turn all deceptive aim assist values to 0, and there’s 0 difference. the ONLY character that actually had aim assist was ana and that was ONLY while healing team mates. devious devs even removed that.

i get it. you’re letting the illusion deception that devs typed: “aim assist”, in control settings, deceive you. devs did that simply to placate console users and secure console licensing revenue. in order for there to be aim assist, devs would have to actually want there to be aim assist.

you want your delusion to be correct. buy a console then return for comment.

Looks like you can only report the troll so many times before the forums say you have done it to many times, though they will just swap to their other account to keep posting if they get timed out.

Yes you can see the difference between aim assist off and on for console it literally guides your damn crosshair… IT EVEN DOES IT ON LIFEWEAVER!

Let me drive on over, spend 400 bucks, set up an account, download the game, go to training range and show very clear aim assist after a 6 hour series of events only to have homie break his mind and tell you it’s a video faked by aliens.

AA for Ana is the worst. Aim at an enemy, teammate walks in your way and moves your crosshair. Horrible.

Without aim assist, precision hit scan characters would be unusable on consoles. High level PC Widow mains routinely kill opponents with hook shots. I have never seen one pulled off on consoles. One console player even called it a “trick shot” when I posted a video of my hook shot kill in Route 66.

The missing console user option is not proof that aim assist is not present. It just means the user cannot activate or deactivate it manually since the DEV’s believe the feature is essential for viable OW2 game play.
