Since about two weeks ago there has been a sharp increase in console players in qp pc lobbies. Anecdotally, its close to 60 percent whether playing at peak times or not, and even higher when in a group. The match quality before this in my opinion was at an all-time high with wave respawn changes, but with whatever they are experimenting with in the matchmaker is ruining it. PLEASE GIVE PC PLAYERS THE OPTION TO TURN OFF CROSSPLAY. Obviously the devs realize its not an even input matchup that’s why pc players cant use controller (with aim assist) so why should i be forced to get locked onto by these players. I’m sure it leads to lots of false cheating reports as many players don’t even realize there is cross play and just see the weirdest looking soldier aim rotate center mass onto a speed amping lucio hitting crazy movement and assume its aimbot.
the fact that you call it auto aim shows me you have never used controller with AA in ow, it’s alright but in no way shape or form is aim assist on a controller stronger than a mnk
It absolutely is stronger, 1 in 4 controller players has the accuracy of the top one percent of mouse players on apex. Yes, that’s a statistic from another game, but its still relevant.
There is a reason pc players don’t have access to aim assist. One input might have an advantage in movement, while the other has an advantage in accuracy. The reality is the inputs are not equal and pc players should not be forced to be in the same lobby. Aim ASSIST (lol) has a 0ms response time to tracking an enemy behind a crosshair.
Sounds like a pc players problem. Spend 2 decades if not longer with a mentality of pc “master race” and now there can be no excuse for why you can’t beat them out. You don’t get to pretend to be superior for 20 years and then whine when we get crossplay.
I have seen the video you are talking about. You are right it is a different game and that’s why the argument is meaningless, you could say okay early fortnite chapter 2 all the pc pros used controller for the aim assist therefore get rid of it on overwatch. Want to know why 0 owcs pros are sitting there using a controller, because it’s a massive disadvantage. There is no auto locking.

Whatever it is, console players ruin PC lobbies. I leave matches with them immediately at setup, no matter which side they are on.
They go 3-15 or 15-3 depending on ximming and smurfing levels. Too much of a wildcard.
Overwatch came out in 2016 so idk what 20 years you’re talking about but it seems like we can all agree the inputs arent equal regardless of what you believe is stronger. The inputs aren’t equal and neither side should be forced to be playing with the other
I didn’t realize pc and console gaming started In 2016. 
I wonder if this is the result of the defense matrix initiative. They said they would start sending identifed Ximmers to PC pool, though I thought Overwatch’s aim “assist” would be disabled.
I just love how one side doesn’t want console players cause they’re “bad”. And the other side is having a meltdown about AA like make up your minds already lmao.
Both can be true, a simple matchmaking setting to toggle off crossplay would solve the issue.

console ow has no aim assist. doubt it? go to practice range, let a bot past in front of you and watch nothing happen. then zig zag in front of any bot in practice range. reticle NEVER snaps to bot. not even faintly. proving that aim assist on console was always a myth. just to secure console licensing revenue and pretend that they met console aim requirements.
You must have your AA turned off. I’ve seen videos of how AA sticks to targets in the practice range, its very noticable.
