Since the latest patch, I’m getting massive fps drops randomly. Normally my game runs at a stable 120-170FPS, but today I’m suddenly getting constant drops all the way to 10 FPS. The game then struggles on 10FPS for around 5-10 seconds, and then goes back to regular numbers. This occurs multiple times a minute, it’s unplayable. I tried lowering my settings somewhat which increased my regular FPS to 200+ but did nothing to alleviate the FPS drops.
It doesn’t seem to be related to CPU or GPU load judging by the numbers in Task Manager, neither the CPU nor the GPU usage is ever over 40/60% when I get a lag spike, and it actually drops down to about 10% (close to the numbers I’m getting when not running a game) during the lag spike itself.
I’m attaching a dxdiag in case that helps narrow down the issue.

I’ve also tried reinstalling the game and using the sfc /scannow and chkdsk commands. No luck so far.
I hope you can help me figure out what’s causing my issue.
Manually updated the drivers to the latest version, didn’t help either
Armory Crate is unfortunately pretty much required with my laptop since it lets you change settings you can’t access otherwise, but I strongly doubt it could be causing these fps drops, especially since there’s no difference whether or not it’s running.
Do you have any other suggestions I could try? I had no lag spikes prior to this latest Overwatch patch (outside of the occasional spike if I had too many programs using up the CPU/GPU), so I would imagine the issues are related to the patch in some way.
I closed it in Task Manager too, I can try uninstalling/reinstalling it but I’d be extremely surprised if it does anything.
I have, both CPU and GPU temps are in the 60s to low 70s, so relatively low, the fans aren’t working especially hard either, and the game doesn’t seem to drop frames more often after playing it for a while.
