People forget that she was f tier when she didn’t have invincibility but was still instant.
No. She’s not better than she was. Yes, prior to invul buff we would “press Q to die” fairly often; but that potential sacrifice could have an impact on the game for the team. Most common suggestion has been to replace the invul with a damage resistance instead.
This Mercy is in a garbage state right now: no impact, bad healing for a main healer, a useless ult that was removed in alpha for being bad and E ability that is so clunky that many forgo using it since you will die more reliably trying to use current res than mass res ever was.
The only things that are still even decent are GA her pistol. With the last nerf you can never use damage boost anymore because your always healing.
Bringing someone back every 30 seconds >>>>> bringing someone back every 2 minutes
I’d rather get reported for playing a character I found engaging than play a boring character who isn’t considered a troll pick.
It seems sometimes that some people misunderstand why Mercy players want 1.0 back. We don’t want her to be OP. We don’t want her to be a must pick. No one even wanted invulnerability. We want her to be fun. She was fun in 1.0. She isn’t now. Period.

nah that was actually one of the arguments for bringing it back for a while she’s a worse tier character was considered a troll pick, but people are fine with that case in point symmetra 1.0 and 2.0 mains/one tricks

How is old Rez engaging when you literally could hide behind a wal and use it?
Or you could hide(while not doing your job) and wait for the team to kill 4 people and fly in to rez.
Valk requires you to be in the open to actually have an effect on the game. Same with current Rez
Try using Valkyrie to heal your team during a team fight. See how fast they die.
It’s borderline a useless ultimate to be completely honest. Like, thanks for the mobility I guess.
I don’t mind resurrect on a cooldown, but her Ultimate desperately needs some work. There’s no engagement with it. It’s the worst support ultimate in the game.
Mass resurrect was bad before we had so much AoE damage. Now with heroes like Hammond and now, Torbjorn, Mass resurrect could just instantly kill your team if they’re caught in those traps.
Actually, people did. It wasn’t exactly fun or impactful to die if you tried to rez more than one person.
I was symm 2.0 main for a while across multiple accounts and I was fine with her being low tier so I just disproved your disproving of me

Both could only Rez one person at a time and have spectator ults. However current Mercy has better survivability and can Rez more often.
Not every Mercy hid to rez, dude. Some of us never hid, so we were already engaged in the teamfight before they dropped Valk. Hiding to rez was an idiotic strategy and failed more often than it worked.
Must not have met them, then. Most players on the forum at that time I saw acknowledged that invulnerability was broken because it made Mercy too hard to kill/could be exploited to save the life of a Mercy who effed up.
Most of the posts I saw on Mercy at that time were asking for an E ability, not invulnerability.
I’ll happily take Season 3 troll-pick Mercy again over this boring and soulless shell she is now. Mercy used to be fun and actually take skill and strategy to play effectively.

Most I saw were people asking for an E ability after she got her invincibility buff bit if you ever pointed out that she would need to lose her invincibility, you just got down voted.
