Didn’t know where else to put this but we are having problems with mass flagging on the forums, the new mod doesn’t like ban you or anything they’ll just like delete your post buuuttttt it’s getting out of hand.
This doesn’t like usually happen the report system of the forums is now being like weaponized as if it’s just a dislike button.

Yep and the mods do nothing about people who routinely harass others while at the same time removing posts that don’t even violate the rules!
Personally I’ve always thought the forum would be better off without moderation and just let people speak freely and only remove spam posts!
But if we’re going to have moderation then it at least needs to be consistent and action the actual wrongdoers!
I’m starting to wonder if the moderators actually support the harassers or condone harassment if they happen to agree with one side?
That’s what it sometimes feels like!

I’m not really surprised to hear Blizzard controls the narrative on a forum on their own website. It is what it is. I guess make your own website if you want to express your unfiltered opinion.
Whaaat? Power-creep neckbeards in a forum? Next thing you’ll tell me is that there are creatures that can fly. How preposterous.
Hi, volunteer here. Not sure what “new mod” you’re speaking about as I don’t think the team has changed in a while. As for post content, constructive feedback is always welcome in any of the Blizzard game forums. However, disparaging staff (devs and mods), volunteers, or other players, is never allowed.
The link below is where you can find all forum rules:
Here’s the section on the topic:
Harassing or Defamatory
This category includes both clear and masked language and/or links to websites containing such language or images which:
- Insultingly refer to other characters, players, Blizzard employees, or groups of people
- Result in ongoing harassment to other characters, players, Blizzard employees, or groups of people
If a player is found to have participated in such actions, they will:
- Be given a temporary ban from the forums, depending upon severity
Harassment takes many forms, and is not necessarily limited to the type of language used, but the intent. Repeatedly targeting a specific player with harassment can lead to more severe action. The idea behind this is to prevent any one player from consistently being uncomfortable in the forums.
To answer the question in the title of your quote… we appreciate constructive feedback about the game, game content, etc… but the focus should be there and not on the staff.
Neutral/Positive commentary is generally okay, but disparaging comments on employees, calls for termination or replacement, etc… falls under several categories of our Forum Code of Conduct and may be met with the removal of posting privileges, on a temporary or permanent basis depending on the content of the posts made and history on the account.
To be clear, mass reporting does nothing more than to temporarily hide a post until it can be reviewed by a Moderator. There are no “new mods”, this staff has been around for a long time.
We delete posts all the time, for many reasons but often when we feel that the post itself distracts from the subject of the thread, is off-topic, simply aggressive, trolly, becoming unproductive, or might not be entirely appropriate for our forums.
We also penalize accounts for more direct violations as well as when the minor content continues into becoming a pattern.
In your case, Ayanga, I’d say the thread, “Guide to Ayanga post”, just didn’t appear very productive. It didn’t appear to be feedback/suggestions, it didn’t discuss the game. The Moderator likely didn’t feel there was any ill intent there, like intentionally trolling, and thus just deleted it.
