Before a competitive match starts, the screen displays 2 maps. For example, King’s Row on the left side and Dorado on the right side. The 12 players vote for which map they prefer to play. The majority wins and that’s the map that gets played. Other games such as Blur, have this feature. Here’s a video of what it would look like. (Skip to 0:21 seconds)
Now before you say “Nooooooo. If we do a voting system, certain maps wont get played!” Pause for a minute.
The system can detect that if it’s time for a 2CP map, it will allow players to choose between two 2CP maps. Or the system might recognize that Blizzard World and Numbani are the two least voted maps of the week. So it queues these maps together more often and allows players to pick between these two.
A voting system has a lot of potential. What do u guys think?

So I get to pick between two maps I don’t like. I don’t think the map system is what is not working in the game.
That said, I would like if ranked didn’t randomly allocate players to modes, so you could just get your most hated mode all damned night.
You do realise that not always getting your fave maps is a good thing, as it makes it more special when you do?

Im not sure man. If we voted for which gamemode we wanted ( between KOTH, Payload, and 2CP) it’d be harder to balance since thats only 3 options in total. 2CP would have to be the 2nd option 100% of the time since very few people like it.
Oh I’m not saying to vote on the mode. I want to cycle through them, so if I play 2cp, I should not get another 2cp map until I’ve played all the other modes at least once. You know, like in OWL? Cause getting 2cp for 5 maps straight is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING.

You do realize that getting 2cp maps more than 5x a row is not a good thing?
This game needs map select/vote system just cause of that & other things too.
(This is just example) but In games like csgo, map select/vote system has worked so far for the past more than 5+ years btw.
Also makes it a lot more frustrating when I don’t see Kings Row for 3 days strait and then when I do get it SOMEONE LEAVES AND THE MATCH CANCELS. I want a map picker.
