I’m so glad blizzard implemented the feature that as long as a map has a vote it has a chance to be played
I am the single guy who voted the one control map when everyone wanted kings row.
Map voting should just be removed or if it’s staying all 3 maps should automatically receive 1 vote. If you wanna play kings row. You better hope RNG is on your side then
It’s simply based on probability. More votes = higher chance to get it. It has pros and cons compared to majority win, but in my opinion, the pros outweigh the cons. In a simple majority votes wins, we would be playing the same maps much more frequently, and some might literally never be played again.
While with this system majority wins most of the time, but even a single vote will allow the map to have a low chance of being selected. End result is all maps are still played, but more popular maps are played more often, less popular maps are played less often.
Since payload is the most popular at majority of ranks, payload enjoyers should be happy with the system as they get to play more payload than pre map voting where it was random.
