Can we get the option to block certain maps from our personal roster?
It’s just a silly change, and it may take longer to find games sometimes but honestly there’s one or two maps I refuse to play beyond just hating fighting on it
IMO a game type selector may be even better, because I suspect Blizzard would limit the amount of maps you could block/deselect at one time. Either way this is one of the changes I’ve wanted the most since the release of OW2.
But reality is that we won’t get it because “then some maps will be so unpopular that there would be no matches on them”… It is sad, because stats that this tool would provide could be used to see what maps need a reworks
I’m begging for this. The very intro sound of any Push map, especially after a very common loss strike by steamroll, is just nauseating for me.
At this point, I think they’re not introducing that feature because of the queue times, but because it will put in evidence how hated Push is, and they don’t want to crush their delusion that they can do no wrong.
I respect the idea behind it, but it also means that maps like Aztec, Anubis and Vertigo alongside the hostage rescue maps can result in 10-30 minute queues if you’re lucky.
While it would be nice to reduce/increase map and mode frequency at least in QP (no to comp) having the carte blanche ability to do it whenever is a bad move.
It would be better to reintroduce the ticket system and allow for players to either access priority queue, or use their tickets to allow for greater probability of picking a map/mode to queue into among other accessible features.

What do you dislike about push? It’s not my favourite, but I actually really enjoy it!
Maybe I also just like Toronto as a map though, cuz the other one is nice but it isn’t my favourite
The developers tried to gaslight us in some interview a few weeks ago saying that people disliking map pools is hard evidence that we don’t want any sort of map block/vote feature. When the reality is that we hated map pools because they were blocking beloved maps like hollywood and numbani
Not necessarily, but they would certainly be the most affected by it. with over 20 maps in the game at this point it’s just ridiculous to say that letting us block say 5 of them would completely destroy queue times or match quality somehow
I dislike the holes / things in the middle and the layouts, not because I get dragged into them or something like that, but I just hate having to actively avoid areas and playing around them when it’s essentially a main point
I just don’t like the design of that- I also don’t like the colour schemes. Illios I don’t mind when it’s at different times of day, but the sunset I don’t like
Something about the yellow / orange tones puts me off I think. I’m kinda the same about that new Survasa (?) map
If you let them push that far. Just move forward. Then if they have to win fights to touch point.
But to you’re original point. I actually think the more maps, the less need for “bans” or voting. If there was only 1 or 2 maps per mode, then yeah it would work.
There’s too much choice to make it a feasible idea.
If they’ve got any sense they won’t be on point after capping, so it’s just roles reversed. Win fight, then cap.

Think about the meka base map. The moment you cap, nearly everyone goes back on high ground and holds the door. Do that, or all the maps. Hold that’s maps “door”
