Can’t leave a match where everyone is being friendly, why is this behavior not looked down upon? I just want to play the game it’s intended to be played meanwhile you have these clowns who could just queue up a chill no kill custom game.
ThiccBuddha frowns upon this behavior. Stop playing at your own peril. I never stop fighting.
It should be a reportable offense IMO, I literally was stuck in overtime limbo since it was a push map. Players like this are the absolute worst IMO.
Report, avoid the teammates who are participating.
All you can do and eventually if everyone does it, the problem will be mitigated.
Not playing the game is griefing. If they’re shooting or whatever you can’t really validly report. But if they’re standing there and emoting AT the enemy constantly? That is gameplay sabotage.
Sounds like youre someone who leaves very often. You dont get forced if you leave only once. So deserved
QP has a horrendous rate of one-sided joke matches where one team struggles to get multiple elims. The allowance isn’t nearly enough for how often you need to bail if you don’t like brick walls
Either the penalties need to be removed or “it’s just quick play” needs to be censored into “I’m a soft throwing baby pls carry me and report”.
If blizzard is putting strict penalties in qp than they need to make it clear that arcade is where you need to go to to derp around and not play to win.
I would think the penalties being present would be enough?
Not to snark to hard… but I don’t even think “DO NOT SILLY HERE” explicit signs would stop the complaints. People treat QP like a joke only because it lacks the rigidity of Comp.
If nothing else they really should make it so punishments only apply to QP/MH/COMP and not arcade. That way it’d drive people INTO arcade where they can faff about till their hearts content.
I only prematurely leave games. Havana circuit and clash. I refuse to play them. I wouldnt leave games because of a teamdiff. I simply cannot care less. If my team throws my games ill just feed into the backline and do a lil trolling. No one outthrows me
There should not be a penalty for leaving before the match start however during is very disruptive. Does that need to be punished? Not unless its a repeat offense imo
It would at least kill the most common excuse for soft throwing.
you can leave. no penalty for leaving a match unless you’re always leaving.
both are horrendous outright. too many vagabonds with a vendetta to not respect how you think.
It technically is. It’s gameplay sabotage to not play the game.
Just ult them what are you
I see it the other way. If players want to just sweat and take it super seriously in qp then there’s no point in qp. Just remove it and sweats can go to comp, and casuals can go to arcade/custom games.
Qp is the casual mode, imo.
I mean literally every time it comes up, both ol Jeff Kaplan and the current dev team say they want you to treat quick play like comp.
I used to agree with your position but it’s beyond obvious the devs want qp to be diet comp with worse MMR and strict leaver penalties are design that encourages that mentality, the changes to avoid this team mate are further in the “game should be taken seriously” direction. What we think doesn’t matter if the devs design the game in the other direction.
I’ve heard this 8558846853 times before… And still not received 1 piece of evidence.
Well if you’ve heard it that many times you’ve had more than enough time to find the evidence yourself.
You clearly have the resources to inform yourself, I’m on this forum to kill time at work not be your OW historian. you’re welcome to Google “Overwatch, dev interview, QuickPlay” yourself it’s not that hard.
Hell if you want further obvious evidence built right into the game, the game mode hasn’t even been named QuickPlay for years, as of OW2 it’s officially called unranked
i had my qp team agree to give lucio the floor is lava achievement.
i ruined every single attempt
uhhh, its in the unranked category, sure, but its still called quickplay. It’s in big letters and you click it to play quickplay.
