People don’t understand that, regardless of the “meta” or balance, she simply isn’t fun to play right now. I’m also a Brig main that has triple digit hours on here. And this mid-range peeler playstyle is boring. Many Brig mains want her to be a brawler again.
Also, when it comes to stats, Brig is the least picked support in the game, has the least healing in the game other than Zen, does less damage than Lucio, has a high deaths per 10, and mediocre stats for everything else. Do people know that she’s almost considered a troll pick below Diamond, aka most of the playerbase?
When players anecdotally, say “she’s fine”, well, based on what? Your personal feelings? Well, my personal feelings say she’s boring to play so they should change her to be an actual paladin-type hero like her hero design suggests.
No, I don’t mind her being niche. But niche heroes should be the best at their niche, which is questionable for Brig atm. Also, I think every hero should be viable. Not optimal or ideal, but viable. And a select array of heroes don’t even have that, with Brig a part of that list.
Blizzard, please make Brig fun again. I would sacrifice her CC/peel and RP capability to be able to be a crusader/paladin brawler again.
Greatly reduce range of Inspire, put Repair Packs on a resource meter that is refilled by dealing & blocking damage (important that it’s both, so you’re not forced into droughts during poke), then buff her barrier & Shield Bash some–doesn’t need to go back to Brigitte 1.0, but better than where it is now.
That would be a pretty fun Brigitte, because she’d have the power to brawl like many of us really enjoyed while being shifted thoroughly into an off-support position so that she isn’t cranking out Moira/Baptiste levels of healing.
Yup. I used to be a Symmetra main before 3.0 came out and ruined the hero (for me (and many other Symmetra mains at the time)). And with all these changes to Brig, I can’t stand it.
Brig has been varying degrees of meta for the last several months, she’s not weak by any means
She’s more fun than she was when she released, in my opinion, but I still don’t think she’s a very fun or engaging hero at all so I can understand complaints about her
Hoping her OW2 rework is good, but the fact that it’s a year away is rough
No, I’m saying fun is also important factor, not that balance isn’t important at all. And yes, every hero in the game should be fun for the players that play them. Shocking, I know.
She was designed to be a frontline paladin-styled support hero. I want that again. idc if you can’t tell the difference between that and Rein.
Only if we get a small buff to her health, even if its that +25 health she got before because w/o her barrier (which gets melted quickly and is still buggy) she’s way to squishy imo.
And who are we as individual players to dictate what is ‘fun’? Different people like different things, for example I like playing Lucio, but hate playing Mercy while other people love Mercy and hate Lucio.
Just because someone arbitrarily chooses a hero as their main does not give them the right to demand changes for that hero in the name of ‘fun’.
And her design was flawed. Unless you think that Brig 1.0 was anything but game-breaking in the extreme?
Honestly, I’d like to see April Fool’s Brig. She was super fun, and not OP, and still played that paladin role. Her cc wasn’t even that crazy, she felt like Brig, felt like she could do something other than be stuck on anti flank
I personally think her current playstyle is my favourite she’s had (not to say she couldn’t get buffs or changes though). She was such a stupid hero when she felt like an immortal tank/dps/support hybrid.
