Since we aren’t likely to see any new lore anytime soon, make up your own continued lore. It doesn’t even have to be much. Go ahead and include soujorn even since we likely aren’t seeing an origin story for her for year(s).
Originally, I made a short blurb about D.Va’s MEKA Squad going on a mission. Another one was how Doomfist met his mentor “The Scourge”. (Permission to link them?)
I would make more stories, but I’m busy enough as is for that kind of work.

I wish there was more ‘fanfiction’ in that style. Where you basically expand on the world through your imagination and not write perverted scenes. That’s why fanfiction is an utter joke.
I would kill for a published author to write some blurbs about Mercy’s backstory and her first field mission, even just as fanfiction.
the problem with fanfic is that its like r34. i would like it if it was actually, normal stuff. good character arcs, and expansion on already existing plots.
I wouldn’t say all fanfiction is bad, it’s just that the quality ones are few and far between. Plus, most people aren’t novelists or have a decent understanding of narrative writing; it’s something I aspire to be.
I would like to know more of the military forces. So far we only have shadowy factions with OW, Talon, corporation enforcers, and renegades.
I think the only hero we have that works for a government is Zarya.
Maybe we can get like an intelligence officer hero that is keeping tabs on all the strange events like the return of null sector.
Does Orisa count as working for the state? She is the self-proclaimed “Hero of Numbani,” and everyone likes her…?
When leaving Overwatch, Moira and Mercy had a harsh confrontation as Moira tries to pack her research in the dark remains of her lab.
It’s revealed Angela was the one who ejected Moira from Overwatch, but Moira was quick to point out her hypocrisy: Angela knew OW was using her own research for warfare. She just didn’t complain because they kept Mercy secure and comfy… an outright bribe.
Moira confirms that her own research is intended to put ever-aging humans on a level playing field with ever-upgrading omnics. “The next uprising may not end the same way.”
Angela pleads that Moira’s pursuits are too aggressive, and will only be matched by opposition. Angela states that neither people need to race for superiority if they took the time to understand each other. An arms race will only escalate conflict.
Moira states Angela’s naivety, but Angela remarks that this isn’t Moira’s call to make.
Moira begins to leave her lab with her packed belongings, but Mercy grabs her staff and blocks the doorway, insisting that Moira promise to keep her research secret. Moira says nothing.
After an awkward silence, Angela lets Moira leave. Both refusing to consider each others’ warnings.
She is more of a project created by Efi and less a country sanctioned enforcer.

Well I am sure he was dead for a few minutes, before Mercy saved him.
I’ve long stuck with the headcannon that Mercy is poly and pan, that’s why she “flies around” to various heroes and “pocketing” feels so wrong.
The lore gets more new content than the game does.
Dva one day completely looses it and finally views life as if it were Infact a video game in a existential crisis moment. Death is the game and she wants the high score.
