Make the Mythic Skin cost $300

But don’t touch the gameplay stuff.

Skin enjoyers will do whatever it takes to acquire their trophies.

But keep the game fair and provide equal chances to everyone.

Be the Fortnite of the arena shooters.

lol… You know what? Screw it. Do that. Sucks missing out on skins, but I’d rather have that than locked characters.

What makes you think OW2 won’t have both?
Ask diablo immortal how much it cost to fully gear up a character.

True… I guess it’s hard to put anything past Blizzard at this point. Sad times. :frowning:

Where will profit come from if only a handful of people will pay a huge sum?

Can we maybe not do… any of that? :slightly_smiling_face:

But you misunderstand, Activision needs their huge pile of cash

Think of the poor, poor suits and investors

And therein lies the difference between people who don’t want things put in or changed in the game that charge unfairly… and those who just want THEIR part untouched.

works for diablo immortal. they are making a killing.

Works for pretty much every F2P game, lol

please connect it to the BLOCKCHAIN and make it unique.

And since the mythic skins are modular, they can sell every piece for 75~ buckos. That way it don’t seem like such a big investment, but before they know it they have $300 less and a full mythic set.

It’s very likely p2w will grant them more money, it’s just so very sad that artificially making games worse will yield more profit. I don’t want to contribute to this, if I could burn 10$ every season for the battle pass I would likely do that, but there is no way in hell I will give my money to blizzard after this.

So people are now mad that the mythic skin might be in the pass for 10 bucks insead of 30+ bucks and in the shop?

Excuse me?

This could be thing, judging from other games. When Respawn put in the second cosmetic melee weapon during their Iron Crown event, one had to spend something like $250 to get it. (To be fair, you also got every single event specific item in the process).

The whole F2P business model is supported by oblivious people that dont realize they are literally being feasted on…so oblivious that they dont even notice how much the goalposts keep being moved by the gaming industry on whats considered all right/necessary

the model is predatory as all hell…but really its more than that…to use an analogy…its the equivalent of a pack of lions eating a zebra alive…meanwhile the zebra is turning around and handing them utensils to help them out…telling them where all the best meat is

trust me they make PLENTY from people that dont pay huge sums…the handful of people that do pay huge sums is just cherries on top

What if they’re not oblivious? What if they full well know and just don’t care? I promise, that’s more likely.

oh theres morons too…

I support this except that I think heroes should be behind a paywall (not a playwall) as well. I feel like mythic skins need to be extremely rare and that one should be worn every few hundred games ideally.

And this is why f2p games have such horrible monetization.

We literally have our own community members suggesting outrageous prices for things.

They’ll do both. Take out the mythic skins from BP and keep heroes locked

I can’t think of 1 person who would buy an overwatch skin for 300 dollars.
