Supports have the best ultimates in the game but don’t require any skill to use.
Lucio ult can save his team from most ults in the game with 1 button press.
Same with transcendence.
Nano, kitsune, orbital ray have no counters and are auto wins when used.
Only amp matrix needs some aim but bap doesn’t even need to use it. The aim could be coming from teammates shooting through it,
It’s just not going to happen. Supports have strong ults because most of them spend the match on the backfoot, and only get to be on the up and up against their attackers during ult.
Also, Kitsune and Orbital ray are hardly game winning ults. They’re strong, but if the team can’t use them properly then they are a waste.
They aren’t auto win buttons. It’s very easy to get very little value on these two ults if the enemy team simply retreats when they are popped or if Juno and Kiriko pop them when the enemy has their cooldowns.
Barely any ults in the game require much skill. Most ults are press Q at the right time in the right place. There are a few high skill ults like Winston, tracer, but those are few and far between. Support isn’t really special in the case of easy to use ults, it’s game wide.
Skill police, on the job! Only OP’s narrow definition of skill matters and should be rewarded. Let us now bow our heads and worship at the alter of skill.
