Please.
Beta has been a total let down with the 5 player cap. 6 players was honestly the best feature of OW1. Thought a sequel was suppose to be an upgrade, not a downgrade?

Yes please 6v6 is much better imo. More players and more fun. Like imagine that u always played with your 6 stack in OW1, now in OW2, 1 or your friends has to sit out or take turns every match
. Also I pretty much dont like solo tanking in OW2. If the devs gonna let 5v5 stay I hope they make a 6v6 mode.
Developers got caught up in updating characters and forgot an entire player on the map itself.
If anything, increase from 6. We should be moving up, not down.
Correct this yesterday.
This thread is a meme
whatever it takes. Developers forgot something. Fix this before Oct 4.
This is a fact bring back 6v6
Hard pass dont want 6v6

Sheep, conform. You’d pass up anything but a twinkie…whoops, sorry, calculated, what a play!
Love it thanks for this lol
Honestly, the 5v5 setup felt so, so, SO much better than 6v6. Only having one tank per team made the fighting feel more fast paced, and surprisingly balanced. If you want to talk about actual problems the beta had, the Supports were made darn near useless with the healing nerf they took, and Push, while fun, is unbalanced to the point where if the enemy gets a big lead, it’s almost impossible to make a comeback. And there are character specific problems.
For example - Moira. Her damage orb sucks now. It’s completely useless, leaving here with just her healing, which, like every support, is less effective due to the umbrella nerf they thought was a good idea.
Junkrat feels weaker, and his ult is honestly more useless that normal.
Don’t know if it was just something happening to me, but Reinhardt’s pin can no longer kill squishies at full health. Pinned a Torb, and the Torb lived.
Brigitte is useless without the ability to stun enemies with her shield bash.
Those are a just a few examples of actual problems with OW2.
They’re not going back to 6v6. They’ve spent the last 12 months working on getting the game to work for 5v5. They’d have to completely rebalance characters again.
Tbh, they haven’t done all that much re-balancing for 5v5. Mostly number tweaks.
They have done almost zero rebalancing, just like they did with hero limits and role queue.
thats because the games arent THAT different…even though everyone likes to make it sound like theyre 2 polar opposite games
but 5v5 does eliminate some things that they wanted to address - like say tank synergy (in terms of what it does to the game) and role disparities (and yes i know there were other ways they could address this)
but regardless 6v6 is gone at this point…its pointless to ask for it honestly
As if they’ve done it well so far?
LMAO, they spent 6 years failing to balance the game, what makes you think they were capable of reworking the ENTIRE ROSTER for OW2?
Only if it is 1-3-2.
If I recall, pin damage is 250 in OW2. Torbjorn is 200 hp plus 50 armor. Since armor reduces some of the damage, he’ll survive with some hp. Also possible Torbjorn was in Overload state, meaning he had 200 hp plus 50 armor plus 100 overhealth. He could easily survive a pin then.
Regardless of the complaints of a few people on the forums, 5v5 isn’t going anywhere.
And honestly, I don’t think it needs to. I just think there should be some kind of mode that folks who like 6v6 the way it is and who really have not been having fun with the 5v5 beta can still play and enjoy. Otherwise I’m prob just gonna end up quitting Overwatch altogether by the time October swings around.
If Blizzard just announced that they’d still keep 6v6 around with like two modifiers like “-20% tank health” and “-X% shield/bubble/defense matrix/breather/etc health”, I don’t think people would be complaining about the switch anywhere near to the extent that they are. Would be a win-win for everyone, the folks who like the more deathmatchy gameplay as well as the folks who aren’t as fond of it. But instead, they’re pulling the whole “you think you do, but you don’t” thing all over again.
