Voiceline spam is still doing fine and well in this game for some reason. Yeah, I know, you don’t want to “take away the fun of voicelines”, but I don’t need to be listening to teammate Pharah asking “Are you scared?” the whole game. Make it so only you hear those non match-related voicelines after the “prepare” phase is over. I’ll be the first to admit I love using Rein’s “Beer” voicelines with his new zombie walk emote, but I do it ONLY in during “prepare” phase. Silencing those voicelines (and “Hello” while we’re at it) for everyone else wouldn’t eliminate the spam, but it would certainly reduce it. And this way people still can use them and spam to keep their APM high while no one else has to listen to it.

Honestly I should be able to push a button and silence all non game related voice lines. The fact that it is not a setting is shocking to me. Obviously it can be default off but it should be a setting to turn off if I do not want to hear it.

Please give us this option, I’ll admit I find it funny sometimes in Qp/Arcade but it really loses its charm after a couple minutes. And in comp I really don’t wanna hear it

click the text box icon next to the player names in voice com options and it stops it

If you can pull up the social menu, the ‘squelch chat’ option works to stop voiceline spam per player.

I get annoyed when ‘filler’ voicelines I’ve heard 432542364 times interrupt me tbh.
They could fool everyone if they made some voice lines just hearable to themselves.
