Whats the point of Champion 1-2-3 if no one has ever hit even Champ 3?
Why are Season 1-8 Masters players in Diamond and GM-s in Masters?
People not being at the rank they belonged for years will just result at masses quiting the game long term.
It is also not fair for new players. 4 months ago they could’ve hit a better rank than now.
They are easy to obtain, you seen the masters players recently? feels like ranked gone down the super sheeter.
Before anyone comments and says that people are just in the ranks they should be, the devs actually acknowledged this as a problem in their AMA.
Right now, most of the top 1% is in Masters. This is causing problems the higher you go, because it’s pushing everyone else down. According to Eskay, current high Plat-Diamond is the old Masters. Meaning current Masters is the old mid GM to T500.
So don’t worry. The devs are aware of the problem and working to fix it 
Might be a byproduct of a lower player count, but I’ve had several Master players (who haven’t played in a few seasons) be in my OQ Comp games in Plat
and needless to say, the team that has them almost always stomps
and these are just the ones with public profiles. I shudder to think how many of them there really are.
That might just be because you’re playing Open Queue, just saying. Open Queue basically doesn’t have matchmaking because people don’t play it enough to have accurate ranks.
I believe it, when I play on the weekends I keep running into the same players over and over on any given day, sometimes seeing the same ones again the next weekend.
If everyone is a rank below usual, then it should be fair for everyone, right?
The actual mistake was the rank inflation initially.
Makes no sense to give the players a false sense of achievement and mastery

Caring about rank to begin with was your mistake OP. Let it go. If youre good, you’re good, it’ll sort itself out over enough time.
Rank is a (very) imperfect scale judging (very) imperfect players. Not worth getting upset over imo.
can relate, the only DPS that seems to work in that mode is Pharah haha
anything else seems to be better off swapping to a 3rd tank
I two trick Tracer and Echo 
Funny thing is though, I don’t actually throw. Last season I was at 49 wins at like M3, so I would’ve been T500 if I’d played another game. Unfortunately I got banned the night I hit 49 for being a naughty Nelly in chat lol
Don’t see too many Echos, and even fewer Tracers.
By far the DPS I see the most of is Pharah, followed by Bastion who is seen about half as often. Sombra shows up now and then too if they have a particularly pesky WB
rest of the DPS roster might as well be perma-benched in that mode for as often as I see them lol
the mode really should be called Hog and Mauga and friends

I’m guilty here lol. I’m not bothered to spend the time to get all my ranks back, given they’ve reset us like three times already. If they want me to spend some time smurfing so be it.
It’s disheartening to see the gaming community’s current state where players often inflate their skill levels to boost their egos.
This situation is exemplified by instances where master-ranked DPS players in master-tier games struggle to achieve even five-digit damage outputs. It’s hard to believe such posts are genuine and not just trolling attempts.
Not sure if you’ve noticed but the rank system is twisted into knots so that everyone is being dragged towards Gold. It’s by design. Not sure what is the reasoning behind it.

Cause I was pretty hyped to hit Champion, but when its obvious the game is kneecapping me for funsies Im just not interested in trying.
I have been GM for 4 years, with the only time I wasnt being when Blizzard themselves admitted to placing people miles below where they belonged because they thought “the fun is in the Climb!” which it seems to me theyve forgotten that artificially throwing people into pisslo and making a bunch of GM’s fight in masters just to get out isnt fun for anyone.
