Make confirmation for Rez

Absolutely not. Resurrect is a skill that has an almost 2 second cast time. If you know you have a Mercy on your team, you should look out for being rezzed already anyway. Your lack of awareness isn’t your teammate’s fault.

I like the idea but the game is too fast for confirmations. Every 100ms matter. It would also take away some decision making from Mercy. She does not have much already

Nothing would bring me greater pleasure than to give that stupid moth a good backhand to the face

Sarcasm incoming:
Its bs she can use her ult when there is no teammate in sight right? I mean whats the point she cant chain heal anyone anyway, lets put in a popup vote system if she can use her ult or not at that exact moment.

Sarcasm end.

And now being serious, you realize that out of every single hero in the game, Mercy already has the least amount of agency over what she can and cant do depending what their teammates are doing and where they are…right?

Guardian angel is entirely depending on her teammates positioning, damage boost depends if the teammate actually hits their shots or not, resurrect is a blank ability unless someone actually dies. And these are just the basics and i didnt go and nitpick about the ult having less and less value based on how your teammates actually position themselves, because that is true for a lot of other ults as well.

The point is that while it is understandable to some extent, that bad resurrects can happen and its annoying, lets just not deny even more agency from her because the next step will be that you will be able to turn off external healing on characters that have self heal, because you want more ult charge for healing yourself with said abilities.

Interestingly enough, you dont you have an issue with Ana nanoing you without your consent while its on the same level if not worse.
Nano can prolong an obviously lost teamfight just the same. But at the same time it can also be activated long range and instantly, even when you are already falling to your death in Illios Well, or when you know for a fact that you received it by mistake (hello Boostio and NanoMercy).
And to top it off, it is an ultimate that is being “wasted”, so when you receive it, you feel an obligation to commit to anything, despite your better judgement and probably lose way more resources along the way because of it. Resurrect is just a few extra second respawn time and a cooldown on Mercy-s part that is most likely gonna be active the next teamfight anyway.
