Major issue with the Devs Design

Reading back on the various articles and patchnotes I’ve noticed a case of the devs speaking out for what they “like” amd not what they are “providing.”

Now in a business standpoint you give up a lot of things in order to appease someone with your services or product.

So it got me thinking, since Blizz likes to ignore basic business practices, how their stance on “We like this” is actually problematic itself.

When they should be stating, and instill the same statement to their mentality.

“We hope players enjoy this and assume this will feel good to play with and against.”

So a lot of their balancing may even just be tied to what “they like” and no so much what is healthy for their playerbase.

And for those of you thinking Blizz holds no responsibility towards us.

We are the customers and consumers. We pay their bills and keep them afloat with a ton of free advertising and publicity.

We do a lot for them, when you really think about it. And they, as a service provider (that is technically what a live service is.) Do indeed have a responsibility to ensure that our experiences are at least in good quality.

I’m not asking them to produce a 0atch that’ll make OW2 game of the year or bring back that triple A title release feel to the game.

But they really do need to put forth more effort in thinking about their players.

So they should just forget anout what “they like” and chase after what “players like.” As a new philosophy.

And its not unresomable to think that way since their dev team is 100s of 1000s times smaller their entire playerbase.
