I’ve have not been able to log into my account for an over a month now. I’ve tried everything you sent in the forums and you keeping sending the same things. It’s not on my end it’s on yours. I made a separate battle net account and psn account and could play overwatch just fine. I spent a lot of money on my main account and would like you to fix this issue. It is on your end and I need you to resolve my problem. We have a discord chat full of people with the same issue and you’ve sent us all the same exact response. We’ve contacted better business bureau and will take legal action if necessary.
I also contacted the better business bureau and since then I’ve been able to log in as of 5 days ago. It’s absolutely insane that some people are having this issue still. This needs to be fixed and I won’t stop fighting for the people who still need help
Note I had this issue since June 22nd
What was the ticket response? Was it this troubleshooting guide?
Are these accounts trying to access Overwatch banned/suspended?
They sent me the basics. Test my internet, delete and reinstall the game, disconnect and
reconnect my battle net account, etc. and I’ve tried it all. I had a theory it was account specific and none of that would help and I was correct. I made a second psn and battle net account and my new overwatch account worked and played just fine.
Still unable to play my original account that I’ve had from the Overwatch 1 launch…

They’re all having the same issue. I made a group chat and we’d be very appreciative if you were able to fix it for them. Some of us got it fixed and these poor people didn’t get it fixed. Any help would be appreciated

Adding back to your previous message none of these accounts should be banned or suspended, we had people ranging from a month to over a year with this issue. We were all fine one minute and couldn’t log in the next, unable to log in on any platform but the account status still shows active. We had 10 people although one was lc-202 (not included in that list of battle tags) 4 of us got in randomly August 9th and the ones I listed still can’t log in
Did anyone try unlinking and re-linking to the same Bnet? Linking to a different one will cause a cooldown.
To my knowledge, yes they did. Shanaginz17, I’m not sure about him, he’s on my friends list but I haven’t been able to contact him. But he’s doing the same thing when I had the issue which was my username started playing and immediately afterwards stopped playing repeatedly. As for Sara it happened in 2023 so I’m not sure what she has done from back then

Hello Nicole. I am one of the accounts Dark listed. I haven’t had access to the game since February. I’ve tried linking accounts and got the 1 year cooldown, internet troubleshoots, diagnostics on my PC and console. There was a fellow gamer who was in our chat who had the problem resolved by reaching out on X platform to a developer. Links aren’t allowed so I cannot post it.
Hey Nicole, I’m one of the folks listed above. I’ve been sent a copy-pasted troubleshooting list in each ticket I’ve created (most tips weren’t even relevant to console)
Like he said, I’ve been able to log in to an alt account just fine on the same console and internet connection, so it has to be account specific. Deletion, reinstallation, unpairing my gamertag from my btag, etc all have been tried as well. Hopefully you are able to pass this along to someone who can look into it. Its affecting a few people in the group he mentioned, along with others out there I’d imagine.

There’s a year-old reply from a previous tech support staffer about the error message. Although is outdated, I would follow the advice given in that post since only customer support agents (the ones answering tickets) can review your account(s).
Edit: I realize some of you in the thread already opened tickets, but it’s also important to open the correct type of ticket. The link in the thread I quoted above is the correct type.
I found the post before I made the group chat and I couldn’t find it again. If I remember correctly I made 2 or 3 tickets using it and it wasn’t very helpful at least it didn’t feel that way at the time. We had contacted better business bureau and another person contacted devs on twitter so I’m not sure if one or both of us got our accounts back but it only worked for a few of us. I’ll let them know to file another ticket using that post although we don’t have much faith in tickets at this point. We’re waiting on bbb’s response and possibly twitter as a backup. Thank you for the help and hopefully we can get this fixed for them.
